Just got back from the Danbury Show. Very lightly attended. Some empty booths.... Didn't even have to wait in line for lunch! I hear Saltwater Edge won't be at the Marlborough Show....

I noticed that also. Sage is missing in action. Powell has decided not to attend Somerset. I think the fees have made it cost prohibitive.
I guess there are too many shows for a very small audience, Also, the speakers are the same giving the same talks every year.

I like the Danbury show because there aren't the usual crowds to deal with. You can walk around comfortably and tie a fly with Bob Popovics or cast with Lefty without waiting in line. I work for the Sound School in New Haven and was actually working. I brought a vanload of kids from our after-school fishing program. Very nice day on the job!

We've got bigger fish to fry this month...;)

Announcement coming soon... :boots:

I've heard that Marlborough and even Somerset still have booth space. Not a good sign for the shows, it used to be you had to get your deposit in quickly just to get in. They've been fading for a while imo, so I'm not really surprised. Gotta shake up your line up every once in a while, it's been the same old same old for a long time. Our fly tying/plug building fair will be taking place Feb. 18th, details will be posted soon on our website.
