View Full Version : How Are Sox Lookin?
Rock Hopper 01-15-2006, 09:00 AM Now that Football is essentially over in NE, let's talk about the state of Red Sox Nation! How are they looking for 2006? They still have two major holes to fill (Center & SS). Other than that, do you guys think they are as good, better or worse than 2005 and where do you think they will end up come late September?
BigFish 01-15-2006, 09:02 AM They SUCK! Thats how they are lookin'!:splat: :bsod:
How are you Kadir?:wiggle:
BigFish 01-15-2006, 09:03 AM They will not be a factor in 2006....my opinion. They are in such disarray its pretty sad.....and they signed that idiot malcontent Julian Tovares from the Cards.......he sucks!:lurk:
Raider Ronnie 01-15-2006, 09:18 AM They will not be a factor in 2006....my opinion. They are in such disarray its pretty sad.....and they signed that idiot malcontent Julian Tovares from the Cards.......he sucks!:lurk:
Larry,
You can jump on the Dodgers bandwagon and root for some of your old buddies like,
Manager Grady Little &
Nomar
And I think there are a few other old Red Sox players !!!!
BigFish 01-15-2006, 09:19 AM You think the Sox look any better than "sucky" Ron?:laughs:

Just making light of your love of Grany Little and of course Nomar !!!
afterhours 01-15-2006, 09:22 AM still some time 'till spring training, they'll contend. where's sparky, this thread needs trashing!
BigFish 01-15-2006, 09:27 AM :laughs: This Sox team is making me look forward to next seasons Bruins!!!:laughs:
Squid kids Dad 01-15-2006, 10:24 AM I think a lot rests on how Schilling and Foulke do...It looks like Manny will still be here
The Dad Fisherman 01-15-2006, 11:18 AM Watch out for the Blue Jays this year.....I think they could take the division.
BF Said it....the Red Sox are in dis-array....to many holes still to fill, Schilling not the same, Foulke I think is done.
and the Yank-mees really didn't do anthing in the off-season.....yet, to really improve themselves this year dramatically.....they desperately need pitching and haven't gotten any.

No trashing here Don Red Sox fan. I wish someone in the front office would get their head out of the azz, I have heard people accusing them of building up the team (in the past) just to draw revenue and now they will cut back on payroll to make more $$$$ It seems like that is there plan and at the fans expense, maybe a lack of attendance will straighten management out:confused:
MoroneSaxatilis 01-15-2006, 02:49 PM While watching The Mile High Debacle last night, I noticed that the Missus had put the day's mail on my desk. Upon inspection, I realized that the three Sox Pax that I had ordered in Dec had arrived. So there I was, watching one home team's season end miserably, while sorting through tix for another home team's season that has the potential to end before it even starts.
Even the tix themselves don't bode well. The only idea they could come up with for a design was to put a photo on it of one of the few remaining legitimate "stars" left on the team (Papi; I would have put Capt. Tek's pic there), placed againt a dark green backdrop. The color scheme sux. Even the TICKETS don't look like the Sox!
:tm:
Rock Hopper 01-16-2006, 10:57 AM Wow, I didn't realize it was that bad...not having been able to follow all the off season moves by either team. I do agree the Jays have gotten a lot stronger and should be a factor.
What's up Larry? I hope all is well....I am good...just busy as all heck....have some nice things in the works for the new season....hopefully will have everything set up for the Mass Bass Show....
Well, good luck folks....it looks like we will all need it for the upcoming BB season.
Kadir
Bigcat 01-16-2006, 12:25 PM The sox are stocking up on pitchers it should be their strong point, still have to fill the void at center field and short:soon: .
Rock Hopper 01-16-2006, 04:51 PM Yes, I recall the Sox got some quality pitching but so did the Yanks as far as relief pitching is concerned and that was their weakness last year.
I think the Sox blew a golden opportunity to get Tejada for Ramirez...if that was ever really on the table...
Anyone know who is on their list for Center and Short?
