I refuse to call you numbskull,,not doing it ,no way ,never !!!!! Nah, it's the style plug I posted a thread on under the title "loaded for cow". The original was apparently by Cotton Cordell and called a blue-striper. The name "lazyfish" comes from Canalman who made something similar a year or two before I tried it (as I've since found out). It describes the action very well. The original is an excellent subsurface swimmer with a slow needlefish/littleneck popper type swimming action that also has a bit of the slow roll that looks so tempting in flat plugs. They're heavy with alot of weight both sides of the hook. I've never fished one, and I'm not sure I've yet got it right, but if I can reduplicate the original's action then I think I'll have the widebodied equivalent of a needlefish, and I like that idea........ alot. P.S. "numbskull" fits fine. NIB 01-23-2006, 08:20 PM Nice stuff Geo. steelhead 01-23-2006, 08:54 PM Lazyfish. I like the sound of it. So many of the subsurface plugs and baits have that nervous wiggle and twitch. A slow wobble and roll sounds real nice, like early Elvis singin' the Blues. Love the paint as well. Looks like a blend of rattle can Testor Metallic Lime with an overspray of a Candy Burgundy that I do. You end up with this nice geeney/olivey, bronzey/reddish purple color. NIce! fishaholic18 01-23-2006, 10:32 PM Love that Lazy thing....Nice work.:btu: thefishingfreak 01-24-2006, 08:14 PM nice plugs. i'll take the "skanky" one, you take the "sexy" one :) hey, sometimes ya' gotta be the wingman. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
