BigFish 01-22-2006, 12:16 AM Alright....so I am relegated to cheering for the Steelers but I think they are the best team left in the playoffs!!! Vectorfisher is a fan and hey....who am I gonna root for???? Denver??? Carolina????? Seattle????? I don't think so!!! So go Steelers...lets keep it AFC!!!:bgi:
Squid kids Dad 01-22-2006, 01:42 AM Steelers and Seahawks
afterhours 01-22-2006, 07:56 AM impartial observer here, hate 'em all.
SandyPtMayor 01-22-2006, 08:12 AM the wheels on the "BUS" go round and round....Steelers 21-17
Goose 01-22-2006, 08:42 AM Although I think they're the best team left I can't stand them bleepin steelers. Goooo Broncos!
Vectorfisher 01-22-2006, 09:32 AM History in the making, they are already the only #6 seed to get to the AFC championship game, keep the train rolling beat them Bronc's
Slipknot 01-22-2006, 09:50 AM good luck
mikecc 01-22-2006, 10:08 AM Although I think they're the best team left I can't stand them bleepin steelers. Goooo Broncos!
Agree
Go Broncos
Bigcat 01-22-2006, 11:51 AM I don't care no interest.:read:
Skip N 01-22-2006, 12:36 PM Don't really care....just want to see some good games!
Raider Ronnie 01-22-2006, 12:51 PM I'm rooting for Carolina to win it all!
Can't root for the others
Mike P 01-22-2006, 02:09 PM My kid's played the last 3 years for a youth team called the Long Island Broncos, so I guess that's as good a reason to have a rooting interest as any---I have some of their caps and paraphrenalia, which is the same as Denver's.
Besides, as a Giants' fan, it'll kill me to watch Roethelsberger lead the Steelers to a SB while we're stuck with another over-hyped Manning that we gave up the farm for instead of taking Big Ben straight up :wall:
Actually, I really don't have much of a rooting interest, in all seriousness. Good luck to everyone and hope no one gets hurt. Especially Alexander, who I think is really pushing things coming back so soon from what I heard was a bad concussion.
nightfighter 01-22-2006, 03:03 PM I'm simply rooting for the team whose fan base will get me the highest price for my two Super Bowl Tickets......
section 220 row 2
ProfessorM 01-22-2006, 04:27 PM Turn out the lights the party's over.
Vectorfisher 01-22-2006, 04:28 PM Yes baby Bill C is 102-1-1 with an 11 point lead going into the half
Raider Ronnie 01-22-2006, 04:32 PM Looking like the Steelers are going to Detriot !!!
JohnR 01-22-2006, 04:56 PM Personally I just want to watch good games too.
But I 'spose I'll pull for the Steelers because of the Bus - not for Bill Choke Cower (though he's doing a helluuva job so far today)...
Lessee - Steelers -v- Panthers?

Nice job by Bill (CHOKE ) Belichick last week !!!:rotf2:
nightfighter 01-22-2006, 05:31 PM Hmmmm last I knew, coaches don't throw picks, fumble the ball, nor make questionable out of the endzone calls. The players laid an egg last week, against a team that is laying their egg today

When was the last time Cowher threw a pass, kicked a field goal attempt, or fielded a punt ?
You Pats fans see things only 1way !!!
John R is the one that called Cowher choke !!!

JohnR 01-22-2006, 06:09 PM Nice job by Bill (CHOKE ) Belichick last week !!!:rotf2:
What is Bill Cower's playoff record? What is Bill B's? Who has how many rings?? Thought so....
So up the Raider Highway with that comment :hihi: - Your team did not even achieve "Also-Ran" status :bshake::rotf2::laugha::wiggle::buds:
Now - good for Bettis. Denver'd be hard pressed to cough up 17 points now :yak5:
Vectorfisher 01-22-2006, 06:09 PM And for all you Cowher haters his team had an answer today for the Denver Blitz Bill B did NOt!! Also something to chew on in all the years Cowher has coached the Steelers how many good QB's has he had?? Neil O Donnell ? ya right think about it and think about how Bill C owned Bill B when he was Clevelands coach.

VF - you should be HAPPY not bitchy right now - Lighten Up Francis....
We won't mention how Denver couldn't get their defense going and flu-ridden Jake played today like the Jake we all know and love... Not going to knock on the Steelers - they played very well - excellent football. The Steelers also didn't play the same Broncos that played last week.... Would have been a much closer game...And who knows - maybe different results
afterhours 01-22-2006, 06:17 PM calm down sparky they're GOING to the big one. ain't won nothing yet! spout off after they win a few sb's. that said they did a damned good job today - cowher included. did he get some new staff this year?

Nope just a QB that is learning the sytem more and more every game

Raider Ronnie 01-22-2006, 06:45 PM So VF,
You got a preference on who you want to loose to in 2 weeks !
:hidin: :hidin: :hidin:
Just kiddin bud, Steelers looking tough to beat right now!!!
JohnR 01-22-2006, 06:48 PM I cant believe you posted that:rollem: :hs:
Seriously, be happy - your team is going to the big dance, personally, I'd like to see Bettis get a ring before he retires. He truly deserves it and the Steelers played well and are going to the SuperBowl... Maybe I need to put more smiles in :eyes:
TheSpecialist 01-22-2006, 07:04 PM Steelers laid on a nice ass whoopin today, but it was'nt that big of a suprise after how they man-handled Indy. It would have been a more competitive game had it been here in NE. Congrats, now let's go whoop some NFC ass.
Squid kids Dad 01-22-2006, 07:24 PM Raider Ron your the one that called belichek a choke???
Squid kids Dad 01-22-2006, 07:26 PM You know what..Now I hope the NFC wins the super bowl!!!!:bgi:
jfisher 01-22-2006, 07:38 PM In spite of how they've been playing lately and all of the momentum they brought going into the game I'm still a bit surprised being that it was their 3rd road playoff win in a row, and knowing cower's championship record. (all at home I know)
Well the colts didn't go 16-0 but we still saw history.
good for Bettis I say. Anyone remember the time Duece was hurt(better yet when he wasn't) and the Bus ran for about a hundered yards and he was interviewed after the game about his performance as if it were surprising that he could still put up big numbers? Then he says something like I don't know why everone is so surprised?
"Look at the list (all time rushing yards), I'm not on that list cuz I look like this"
As a buc fan I wish the steelers luck in Feb. and may the bus end his career w/ a ring at home

Good thing Cower watched our game last week, I think he paid attention :uhuh:
congrats
I'll be rooting for the seahawks now
Slipknot 01-22-2006, 07:39 PM You know what..Now I hope the NFC wins the super bowl!!!!:bgi:

That right there is the reason a lot of people on this board won't root for the Steelers.
You seem surprised that people here on this board don't give the Steelers enough love.....but it IS a New England fishing board......I wonder what kind of love I'd get on a Pittsburgh fishing board.
Squid kids Dad 01-22-2006, 10:16 PM Go SEAHAWKS!!!!!!!!!!:jump:
kippy 01-23-2006, 06:46 AM Here is a reason to pull for the Seahawks..Lofa Tatupu and Matt Hasselbeck both from Mass and their fathers both played for the Pats. It's going to be a very competitive super bowl. I'm pulling for the Seahawks. They had to move to the NFC for that conference to be competitive!:hee:
Raider Ronnie 01-23-2006, 08:13 PM I'm pulling for the Seahawks. They had to move to the NFC for that conference to be competitive!:hee:
You got that right!!!
AFC west used to be the toughest or 2nd toughest division (allong with the NFC east) in football with the Raiders, Denver, Chiefs, seahawks,. and some years the Chargers!!!
Unlike the free ride division that the 49ers had for their championship years, with the Rams, Falcons, & the Aints !!!
