I saw one today I like it. It is a Tica Scepter, it is very much like those Daiwa Emblem XT reels. It has 7bb and 1rb , aluminum spool instant anti-reverse. It has some serious line capacities as well

I have their 13 BB reel in stock at this time, same style called the Dolphin SE9000 under $100
Great reel seems better than Daiwa's $300 reel

One of my decisions on carring their reels was parts.
Bucko's will be distributor of parts for them in my area. but people I have talked to said that when they called Tica that the parts need (mostly broken from falling or droping) were shipped to them at no charge and within a week.
as far as going to east cupcake. I always carry a spare spring for all my reels and a spare rod tip in my emergency repair kit.

I BOUGHT A TICA 3500 AT A FISHING SHOW AFTER TRYING TO GET AS MUCH INFO AS I COULD ON THIS REEL.10 BB AND THE RIGHT LINE CAPACITY I WAS LOOKING FOR,PLUS LITE WEIGHT.I TOOK SPOOL TO LOCAL SHOP AND SPOOLED ON 20LBS. FIRELINE WHICH IS SUPPOSED TO HAVE 8LBS DIA. THE 125 YARD I PUT ON PRETTY MUCH FILLED THE SPOOL.THE ADVERTISED CAPACITY OF SPOOL WAS SUPPOSED TO BE 10/250 12/230 14/205. I POSTED ON ANOTHER SITE WHO SELL REELS AND REPLY WAS TICA WAS RIGHT ON AND FIRELINE WAS OFF ON DIA.THE FIRELINE WAS PRETTY MUCH RIGHT ON -EVEN IF IT WAS OFF THE 12-14 DIA SPEC FROM THE 8LBS,IT SHOULD HAVE HELD MORE.I CALLED TICA,THEY CALLED CHINA AND I CALLED BACK BUT TICA HAD'NT HEARD FROM CHINA.THEY SENT N/C ANOTHER SPOOL TO SEE IF MACHING WAS OFF.BUT IT LOOKS THE SAME.THE 4000 TICA SPOOL WON'T WORK ON THE 3500 BECAUSE THE ROTORS ARE DIFFERENT.HAVE A DEALER SPOOL WITH A LINE COUNTER IF YUO BUY TO SEE IF LINE CAPACITY IS CORRECT.

i'm kinda surprised to hear that the fireline is so far off...i have a daiwa regal 4000 thats listed capacity is 210 yds of 14lb...i have at least 100 yds of 15lb test big game inshore line as backing and a full 125 yd spool of 20lb fireline...

hesh2...i've heard the 30lb fireline is rope...any chance that 30lb was put on instead of 20:confused:

sounds like something might have been mislabeled...

I HAD 12 & 15 LBS MONO BIG GAME HOME.THE FIRELINE WAS 20LBS AND LOOKED ABOUT 8LBS AS ADVERTISED.WHAT I'M SAYING IS 12 BIG GAME GAME 1/4 LBS SPOOL HOLDS 1025 YDS IF I SPOOLED THIS ON MY TICA I WOULD ASSUME I HAD ON THE 12/230.THE SPOOL ONLY HELD 125 YARDS OF 8LBS TEST FIRE.THE REEL DEFEATED THE PURPOSE OF ME BUYING IT FOR THE LINE CAPACITY ADVERTISED.I SPOOLED OFF THE FIRE FROM THE TICA ONTO A EMPTY 5500SS SPOOL WHAT A DIFFERENCE.I JUST ORDERED 14 LBS FIRE 6LBS DIA 300 YARDS FOR THE TICA TRYING TO GET MORE CAPACITY.
