Anyone have advice on a depth finder. I will be fishing exclusively for Bass in up to 60 feet of water with a budget of around $500 or less. What are you guys using and how do you like it. 179 what are you putting on that new boat?

Also while I have your attention, I bought a leaning post for my Carolina Skiff that has a 30 gal. livewell. I want to get a Keep Alive system and the chemicals. Can I get away with the small(floating) unit? Whats the shipping to Charlestown RI? We need a CapeCod Tackle annex in RI!Thanks!

Scotch
i don't sell fishfinders i ordered mine thru a catalog.
It has 160x160 pix 4.8" diagonal, small compared to some but the resolution is what I wanted .
i can tell what type of bait fish by different colors appear on screen.

when you say system ? you have the tank. alls you need is the Infusor ,the 460 floater os ok if your only holding a doz. bait fish
The 1100 is a beter pump + you can mount the larger filter screen (optional) on it to reduce your chance of cloggin up. ship would be $6.75

A guy called me from the mass bass show wanted me to match the price at the show $80 I told him I would love to sell it to him for that price but my every day price is $64 and the sale is $59.
:smash: he was there in an hour

Mike nice talk Friday I set the tank all up and now all I need is some fish to show up. Do you happen to know where I can get a eel pot?????? I think eel fishing is the way I will go this season and I want to get all set up with in the next few weeks. Thanks for any help in finding a pot. The new tackle bag is great but now I need to come to the shop to fill it up! Thats why you sold me the large one even with all my gear in it I still have two empty boxes:D

Scotch had a Humminbird 400 tx but I am looking at the Garmin 240 to replace it or maybe the new Humminbird Legend 3000. Do you have a chartploter on board? Last year just used my handheld Magellan 315 but I picked up a Garmin 176 portable to start out the year on the boat and if I like it I am going to keep it for my hunting and truck and get the 182 for the boat. I bought the blue chip for Block island to Maine for it and this thing realy kicks a--. Anyone want a good 315 for $25.00 but I will need to take all my waypoints out first sorry:(

GB- I'll give you $30 if you show me how to use it:D .I'm also leaning twords the Garmin 240. Its the best deal on a 240x240 that I have found. BassPro.com has it for $279.99. This boat is killin' me - but well worth it. I will take that 315 off your hands if you want to sell it, let me know. Mike I will be calling the shop for the 1100 and chemicals-thank you

I uncoverd the boat and it is going to Don's tue for spring start up. If the weather is good I should get out in the next week or so and after I get all my waypoints set in the 176 we can meet to get the 315 to you.

I run a Garmin 160 Blue, for a fishfinder / depth finder, works great and it's priced right about $225.00. For GPS I run a Garmin 162 Waas with mapping, great performance and accuracy. Also allows you to purchase BlueChart software for detailed info on our area. I'd say both the above are great performers...
