View Full Version : I hope they hang him
Anybody see the story on the news about the deputy out west? It seems The deputy and his partner had 2 men face down on the ground after a vehicle chase. The video shows the deputy telling one of the men to shut up. The guy on the ground is saying how he is on the deputys side. (the guy is an SP in the Air Force just returning from Iraq) The deputy responds "Shut up, F the military". This is bad enough but he then tells the guy to get up. The video shows the man starting to get up and the deputy shoots him 3 times. He then yells at him " I told you to stay down. Shut the F up". You can then hear the man moaning.
The guy who was shot was the passanger in the car that was smashed into a pole. From what I can see on the video he was doing exactly what the officer told him to do. (yes there is audio).
The man is in the hospital and is expected to live. Personally I hope they put the deputy in prison. Preferably a prison with a high minority population. :behead:
seabass 02-01-2006, 07:18 PM I saw that on the news at noon , very sickening, and the basta$% is on paid leave? wtf?
Squid kids Dad 02-01-2006, 07:34 PM Mac I agree...Caught on tape..What an ass...:hang:
Have you see the video tape of the 3 or 4 cops kicking & punching the guy they were chasing will he is on the ground..I think they went a little over board there to...:whackin:
mikecc 02-01-2006, 07:35 PM Some cops think they are above the law. Thank god for the video.Lets see the deputy dispute it
afterhours 02-01-2006, 07:59 PM horrible....some people, a lot of 'em plain ole' suck.
Raven 02-01-2006, 08:11 PM is a warm gun

Fishpart 02-02-2006, 06:42 AM Choice ) Send ot prison and announce he is a cop that killed an innocent man.
Choice 2) Send to Iraq and announce he is a cop that shot an innocent soldier for fun........
Justice will happen for itself
fishsmith 02-02-2006, 08:04 AM From that video, it looks like the cop was dead wrong. BUT why are are people running from the cops? When the blue lights go on PULL OVER, and none of this would of happened. Kinda similar to the kid recently killed in Plymouth.
Playing devils adovate - what if the guy on ground looked to be reaching for a weapon?
Redsoxticket 02-02-2006, 10:04 AM I can see it now the cop goes to jail for a few years then receives full pension with medical for life.
Flaptail 02-02-2006, 10:15 AM Come on down to Falmouth, if you know the cops you can get away with murder. Just ask Melvin Riene. Our force is tres' F&*^% up. I don't trust any one of them anyhow.:yak4:
Gloucester2 02-02-2006, 10:25 AM Flap that whole Reine story was like something out of a novel - amazing reporting by the Enterprise - I thought.
99.9 % of the time I side with the cops when its a "he said / she said" type scenario . . . maybe I've been too trusting - from what I saw the cop was dead wrong . . . was probably pretty amped up after the chase and having two at gunpoint.
Karl F 02-02-2006, 11:54 AM Listen close to the audio, somebody, not the shooter , maybe the cops partner, says pretty clearly..."OK, Get up".. the soldier starts to get up, and quick draw MacGraw starts blamming away.. just saw it on the news, they had all the audio cleaned up, some censored, the kid was swearing pretty good, but, only in reply to the officers BS, and he was swearing too.
Swimmer 02-02-2006, 12:05 PM in both incidents, all five officers belong in jail for a very long time.
Raven 02-02-2006, 12:09 PM and i've watched the video ten times...
first of all the cop is yelling
shut the f0k up maddafoker
over and over
perhaps hes pissed off ??
after a chase probably yeah
but maybe, just maybe he himself
inadvertantly did a mis speak
instead of saying shut up and or get down
he combined them in the heat of the moment
and accidently said ....get up....
either way even if lethal force was justified
and he fired in self defense...
afterwards you dont still say
shut the FOK up MUDDAFOKER
ya know...that aint right.
vineyardblues 02-02-2006, 02:02 PM I could not find the video , but I did see one of his wife telling a news crew that the other guy who was the driver took off and started to run so they shot at him first then shot the other man who was getting up off the ground............................................ ......
stripersnipr 02-02-2006, 03:12 PM Deputy...........Thats why Andy only gave Barney one bullett
MoroneSaxatilis 02-02-2006, 07:44 PM Anyone got a link to the vid?

If the guy was reaching for a weapon the deputy was at fault for not frisking him. It didn't look like any attempt at reaching for a weapon to me though.
TheSpecialist 02-02-2006, 10:22 PM The guy was doing a push up to get off the ground, even if he had a weapon there is plenty of time for the officer to pounce on his back. Make no mistake the officer coldly, and calculatedly shot that man, the video does'nt lie, and I am pretty sure it was a witness to the whole thing that shot the video, not some dashboard cam in a cruiser.
Raven 02-03-2006, 05:17 AM the video was taken by a neighbor....
crash 02-03-2006, 06:40 AM I'm very pro-police, but if that deputy does not go to jail, the justice system is more screwed up than I could have imagined.
Swimmer 02-03-2006, 12:05 PM the kid was swearing pretty good, but, only in reply to the officers BS, and he was swearing too.
How do you know the kids swears were only in reply to the officers swears? Swearing or strong language from a cop at the end of a chase is two things, overampage and use of force. Sometimes and every event like that is different strong language is all that is needed to make someone obey a command. Sometimes it doesn't make any difference what you use or try nothing works. The kid could have been looking up at the cop with a big grin because he just came back from Iraq and thought he is going to play with the cop who is pointing a gun at him and makes a wiseass playful physical gesture like moving his body agressively only a couple of inches toward the cop scaring the cop and that could be why the cop fired. They are traned quite a bit differently out there than here. They are very agressive in thier self-preservation.
Oh and to the person who said that the cop should have jumped on him if he had a weapon, and try to wrestle it away thats bu%$^&t Steven Seagal movie chit. If the perp/person of interest has a weapon and drops it he is O.K. or if he doesn;t the perp stands a good chance at getting shot.
Those four guys who beat the motorist dont stand a chance they belong in jail and should start packing now.
The deputy who shot the kid deserves a little more checking out before we find him guilty of anything. It doesn't look good for the deputy, but you have to be there to know the whole story. I'd hate to be tried in front of you guys based on what we all saw in a dark nightime video, and that alone without hearing the whole story. Some of you guys should stop somebody who is armed in the middle of the night. And I am not saying that as a slant to anyone or thier opinon. It is an extrordinary situation to be in. A fraction of a second and probably a fraction that goes by so fast in conjunction with a situation going bad quickly always looks bad for the cop initially. And it may turn out to be bad in the end for him. If so off he goes to jail for attempted murder at least.
MoroneSaxatilis 02-03-2006, 04:38 PM Once again, does anyone have a link to the video?
Don't get me wrong, I am not anti- police, on the contrary. That was my ambition upon getting out of the service back in 82. But being a male caucaision and only getting a 95 on the test wasn't good enough back then. A friend who I was stationed with took the test and aced it (100) so they couldn't refuse him.
I was in that same type of predicament back in 1981 when I was stationed at Ft. Bragg, NC. MP's used to ride with the local police patroling Fayetteville due to the high military presence. A very similar incident happened and my weapon was drawn and aimed at the suspect. Thank god things went differently as I didn't have to pull the trigger. Could I have or would I have; absolutely if I thought my life or someone elses life was in imminent danger. These guys were armed and carrying narcotics. They were booked on drunken driving charges as well as the weapons and drug charges. So I do know what you mean about things getting tense.

How can they book them both on drunken driving charges?
How can they book them both on drunken driving charges?
I should have worded it that the driver was booked on the 3 and the passanger was booked on 2 (the narcotics and weapons charges) . They weren't very bright as the weapon which was loaded was on the dash on the passenger side. (the side I was on)
