hey guys i am looking to purchase a lathe. i know alot of you guys recommended the jet mini to baystalker. i like the jet but is alittle out of my budget. i found one at harbour freight that allows a duplicator but didnt see if you could get a chuck to center drill. the model number of the lathe is 38515-4vga . is this a decent one or is there any other that would recommend that would keep my cost below what a jet would cost. if i have to i will put the money out for it but i may get my :behead: with the loved one.
thanks shawn

If ya don't have the cash right now it would be worth waiting a little longer to get the Jet, imho. You will have something that will give you everything you need and will have no problem getting parts.

The Turncrafter Pro for $169.00 with a 2 year warranty is the best deal out there IMHO. It appears to be identical to my Jet, but with a red paint job. If I were to buy a mini/midi lathe today, that would be the one, without question.
Penn State is a good company to do business with and they will stand behind what they sell.
