Specialist..I did that..Found that I sleep apnea..Now I use a machine at night with a mask that forces air in and keeps the passage way open..I have never slept better and no more snoring,,Takes a little getting use to but worth it...Good luck

digestion of food is generally a factor and eating too late causes snoring sometimes
as does late night drinking of booze or beer.
that makes you PANT like a tiger as you try to rid yourself of alcohol
faster...

there's "breathe eaze" a herbal breathing formula ...or then you can
try giving your wife a sleeping pill so they wont wake up to the sound of a pin dropping.
I got a free sample from my doctor and my wife tried it and slept excellently .....

but digestion takes allot of work for the body to do...so it's better to eat your main meal
at lunchtime and a lighter meal for dinner earlier.
doing this improves your sleep and you'll loose weight too.

Same here , wanted to put me on the machine and the wife said sleep in the basement. Then they gave a med that they treat parkinsons with . Took it on a saturday and watched the fireplace smile and talk. Hadn't had that much fun since the 60's:tm: . Now the wife drinks the wine and sleeps soundly.

I have no problems with the machine, quieter than a humidifier and I sleep better, don't snore, and the wife can't blame me anymore for being too loud...

My wife wears ear plugs, but sometimes sleeps on the couch. The doctor told me that the more tired you are when you go to bed the more you will snore. So 1 thing you can do is get regular sleeping hours, I have been pretty good about this part. He also said I was built to snore. I am doing the sleep study first, then will probably do the Rhinoplasty for the deviated septum. I don't really want to sleep with the machine for the rest of my life.

I am sure you guys that went to Cutty remember the house was shaking, but I was'nt the only one... :hihi:

My Snoring is Legendary in these parts.

When we go camping with the Scouts the Dads ask where My tent is setup...I say "Right Here" they say "Good, We'll be over there" :hihi:

Went on a Cub Scout overnight at Higgins Armory a few years back, when the lights went on in the Morning one of the Dads sits up w/ tissue paper sticking out of his ears and says "You go home and Kiss that wife of yours for putting up with that all these years"

I went through this 2 years ago. Had the same problem. Sleep apnea with a deviated septum. Did the sleep study but couldn't sleep with the machine. Had my tonsils removed. Fixed the deviated septum. They also cut my palate and electrocuted the back of my tongue (to shrink it). I now sleep better and snore a lot less. Doctor told me weight has a lot to do with it too. Lost over 25#s and have kept it off. The big thing is being able to sleep through the nite again.:hihi:

Larry, that sounds like sleep apnea to me. I'd have it checked out as it can be dangerous.

and sometimes i can't tell....:jump:

i second what Mac said...

dangerous...

and that means that fishchicks maturnal
instincts are on full alert and shes monitoring
you're breathing while she sleeps...or how
else would she know...if she's asleep herself.

i wonder about ion generators (air filtration)
and O2 pumped
in the bedroom.... also

Smokey snores like a dwarf in the Disney cartoons. Apparently his girlfriend is immune to it but i can never sleep in the same car or room with him when we are fishing. when I used to get the 4 wheeler permit for South County beaches , he'd sleep like a baby , i would be awake all night with the snoring. Unbeleiveable , it never stops. 8 hours of solid , loud snoring!!

Hoooonnnkkk , peep peep peep peep peep , whistle whistle whistle whistle , Poooooooooo ! Unbelievable I tell you!! :)

Try putting Basicpatrick and Squid Kids Dad in the same house without those machines and watch out. By the time morning comes around thier will be a house of pissed off fishermen. They both snore loud enough to be considered a disturbance of the peace. I once watched BasicPatrick fall asleep sitting straight up in a bar stool at the fishing shack in Edgartown. We told him to go upstairs and go to bed and put his machine on. A moment or two later he got up from the stool, grabbed a load of folded laundry that he had put next to where he was sitting, went upstairs and never woke uponce.

MV Derby and I'm at the fishin' shack trying to get a few ZZZZzzzzza before me & Patrick head out for an allnighter from C_____ ___e_ _e___ to west of Philbins. I'm exhausted but I'm going to catch a few Zzzzz's. I go upstairs to the loft which is beiong shared with SKD and Swimmer and I crash on the cot. SKD and Swimmer come in after fishing Pouge (or somewhere) all day and go upstairs and start sawing wood, wake me up, and I wiind up taking a two hour powernap that restores no power becuase it contained no nap! Two hours of Swimmer CHHHOOOOOONNNNNNKKK and SKD WeeWeeWeeWeeeeee HF&###&*(:af: -

So me and Patrick fished all night and managed not to kill anyone going from Moshup to the Chappy Ferry while he slept the whole time and I only slept part of it (I was driving)

I should have said in regard to BasicPatrick and Squid Kids Dad that it was a disturbance of the peace when they didn't have thier breathing machines.
