I went to River's End today to beef up the plug bag. I stocked up on my usual Tattoo, Habs, and Beachmasters. All of these, are through and through proven fish catching lures. I also picked up a 3oz bunker pattern Troublemaker surfster. Never heard of them before. Looks pretty fishy. Anybody know the skinny on these?? Thanks

Oh yeah, what made the day great was taking a quick detour on the way home to catch a few stipers. Had to work for em, and they were small, but it was fun.

Great plugs, all sizes. The 3 oz. Surfster definitely catches big fish. Nice, fat wobble as it goes through the water.

He's heading my way with a LOT of plugs including new colors in the next week or so.

He's got 2 herring patterns debuting; one is the traditional herring baby blue/pink over white, and then a new one painted specifically to look like a distressed herring. He better bring a lot in that color because I'm going to put a good dent in them myself...

What did they have in the way of Beachmasters?

Steve makes a damn good plug. His medium blueback herring is my go to for the mullet run. Nice guy too, real into taking good care of his family. :claps:

yes he makes a nice plug good action I'd like something in between the two sizes he has now. Some times the small one pops in a good surf and the 3oz is huge.

The real small ones (about 4" and 1oz) are absolutely deadly on finicky bass. Swim on top with a nice slow wiggle and wake

Steve is a great guy who builds a dam good plug. I have a good number of his stuff and have done well on just about all of them. The action of those surfsters is unmatched. Like Vic said he certainly will take care of his freinds.:claps:
