Steelers not looking too good. It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. No 1st downs in the 1st quater, an interception not a good way to start though.

TheSpecialist 02-05-2006, 07:30 PM I hope he does I need both teams to score 2 td before the half, doubt thats happening though. missing link 02-05-2006, 07:46 PM Well almost halftime and I dont think that was TD Squid kids Dad 02-05-2006, 07:51 PM Brady did well tossing the coin...:grins: BigFish 02-05-2006, 07:59 PM Pretty boring first half I thought....felt more like pre-season!:bgi: afterhours 02-05-2006, 07:59 PM in the motor city- mo town- and the best they could is come up with the stones  BigFish 02-05-2006, 08:01 PM Should call them The Bones!:bgi: Raider Ronnie 02-05-2006, 08:02 PM So far, this is the worst super bowl I've ever seen !!! Mike P 02-05-2006, 08:02 PM Well almost halftime and I dont think that was TD I thought it was---Rothy's wearing a black and white glove on his right hand, and it looked like the hand and the nose of the ball in it broke the plane before a Seahawk defender knocked it back. I thought Seattle got screwed on the offensive interference call, and on a third down spot on the drive before Pitt's TD. Raider Ronnie 02-05-2006, 08:06 PM Somebody tell me how the heck Aaron Neville gets on tv so often !!! The guy SUCKS !!! BigFish 02-05-2006, 08:08 PM Yeah Ron, you got that right!:rollem: Skip N 02-05-2006, 08:09 PM That was NOT a TD....The ball was half a foot short from crossing the line. And that was NOT pass interferance on the Seattle TD. The refs have sucked this post season:smash: Overall a crappy game so far.... People in lettuce costumes will never be funny!!:laugha: Raider Ronnie 02-05-2006, 08:27 PM I can't believe people pay hundreds of $$$ to see the Stones in concert !!! They should have had Stevie Wonder do the half time show, though he sucked also !!! I have to admit, The show I saw at foxboro the 1st game this season blows this away !!! Redsoxticket 02-05-2006, 08:32 PM The Stones should are better off recording in studio then on the road. Maybe it sounded better at the Bowl. U2 was good. ProfessorM 02-05-2006, 08:49 PM Game :sleeps:   Stones:doh: Mike P 02-05-2006, 08:52 PM the stones sound like they stopped rolling and gathered moss:sleeps: It was pathetic :yak6:. Surfcastinglife 02-05-2006, 08:53 PM what a bad throw........whats with these guys runnin out of gas so fast on run backs? proffesional athletes pfft.....they should be able to run there and back! luds 02-05-2006, 08:54 PM Halftime show sucks..Am I getting old or do the Stones suck..Bring back Janet Jackson..:eyes: The U2 halftime show when the pats beat the Ram's was buy far the best I've seen. Untouchable IMO> Mike P 02-05-2006, 08:56 PM Now it gets interesting :D And yeah, wassup with a DB not being able to run 80 yards without running out of gas? I remember LT picking off a pass in Detroit and going 97 yards, pulling away from wideouts  Raider Ronnie 02-05-2006, 09:13 PM Tough choice, Continue watching this crappy game, or switch to NESN and watch Charlie Moore !!! Surfcastinglife 02-05-2006, 09:15 PM im still waiting for the episode where one of his guests drowns him Slipknot 02-05-2006, 10:03 PM congrats vectorfisher and Jules enjoy Raider Ronnie 02-05-2006, 10:09 PM It should be intersting to see who wins mvp from such a crappy game !!!:rotf2: Maybe one of the refs !!! Congrats Vectorfisher ! BigFish 02-05-2006, 10:09 PM Congrats to VF!:wavey: Problem with Seattle (other than the lousy officiating) was their receivers.....Hasselbeck made some great throws tonight when they needed them and got the ball right in the receivers hands and they kept dropping them....Stevens dropped a few very key passes! Pittsburg won and I am glad for them but that was the most anemic performance by a Superbowl winning team I have ever witnessed! luds 02-05-2006, 10:10 PM Did Holmgren congragulate Kowher after the game? It looked like he didn't. That's bush league! BigFish 02-05-2006, 10:11 PM Oh I am sure he did! You can't see everything...especially with all the commercials! The Dad Fisherman 02-05-2006, 10:54 PM Congrats to VF!:wavey: Problem with Seattle (other than the lousy officiating) was their receivers.....Hasselbeck made some great throws tonight when they needed them and got the ball right in the receivers hands and they kept dropping them....Stevens dropped a few very key passes! Pittsburg won and I am glad for them but that was the most anemic performance by a Superbowl winning team I have ever witnessed! That was my feeling exactly...and one other thing......How the hell do you call a guy defending the ball blocking below the waist....that was the biggest BS call of the night. Hasselbeck tries to tackle the guy on the INT and gets called for blocking below the waist...WTF was that....I almost threw my beverage at one of the Pittsburgh fans in the room on that one. that could be the 1st time the losing team in a superbowl out passed AND out-rushed the winning team...waiting to see the stats on that. and Stevens needs to go back to college...its the Superbowl...you catch those passes TheSpecialist 02-05-2006, 11:00 PM IMO Seattle beat themselves. They could have beat Ptt handily. Yeah there were a few sucky calls, but they still should have won. VF congrats, enjoy it while it last, cause next season starts all over and I think there will be a new sherriff in town.. Vectorfisher 02-05-2006, 11:04 PM WHO's whining now, take your medicine. PITTSBURGH STEELERS WORLD CHAMPIONS To beat the best gotta be the best, keep hoping for next year. anyone can win one...but can you win 3 outta 4?:hihi: BigFish 02-06-2006, 08:13 AM VF...they might have won but that was the most painful performance by a Superbowl winning team that has won that I have ever seen. "uffah!!" 02-06-2006, 08:56 AM [ I wish I could watch the whole game BUT I gotta go to stupid bed( Life of a trucker) I want to be alert so I don't drive over a 4 wheeler making a 3 lane exit to his ramp to go to work you think it's easy come for a ride with me OH YEA bring a depends cause I'm gonna scare the SH!+ out of ya. Glad I am retired . afterhours 02-06-2006, 08:58 AM piss poor game, but a "W" is all that counts and take it anyway you can get it. Raven 02-06-2006, 10:13 AM a pre -game than a super bowl... it was a farce. BigFish 02-06-2006, 10:17 AM Said it before....do away with all the pomp and circumstance and just play the friggen game!!!! Money ruins everything!:lossinit: Raven 02-06-2006, 10:28 AM one of the respondents on that other site said it best... thats it ! i'm done with football.... no.... not that....which is BS he said... i have other hobbies.... i agree.... and i'll leave it at that Mike P 02-06-2006, 12:03 PM I love Hines Ward. But I still think the MVP should have gone to the ref, Leavey. The game turned around on two calls--the bogus hold on Seattle's RT that took the ball from the one, and the 15 yards they tacked on to the INT on the strangest call I've ever heard off--a "block" below the waist on Hasselbeck when he tackled the DB by going low  That took the ball to close to midfield, and gave the Steelers the right field position to run the flanker reverse/option pass. They wouuldn't have run that play from their own 35 :hs: That being said--Seattle still has only themselves to blame. Missed opportunities galore, and horrible clock management--Holmgren turned into Herman Edwards :rollem: I can't recall a SB that had two horrible performances from the QBs. BigFish 02-06-2006, 12:07 PM I thought Hasselbeck played a great game....26 completions and 270 yards and his recievers dropped alot of bread basket balls.......they sucked! He would have had a couple more TD's and another 125 yards passing if the receivers brought their hands with them! I can't believe one of the other officials did not argue to change that "block" call for cryin' out loud! Horrible officiating...probably the worst I have ever seen....and in the biggest game of the year no less!:behead: Goose 02-06-2006, 02:06 PM I think there should be a full investigation on the officials...seriously. The 12th man was wearing white and black. One play that stood out in my mind was the end of the half when a seahawk receiver had one foot inbounds and possession, it looked like it had gone over the mark....under 2minutes they had to reveiw that. Whats up with that SH coach and officaiting crew?? On B Roths td, only when the official got near the ball did he call it in. When that play was reveiwed he should have taken that into consideration. Pitts didn't play their best game but hung in there. fishaholic18 02-06-2006, 03:01 PM Seattle did a horrible job at managing the clock. What 2 minute drill?? It was like they were in no hurry to loose. WTF, Holmgren's been there before, I was in shock. And to attempt 2 50+ yard field goals?? Did they forget that they have the best rb in the league...Go for it on 4th...It is the Superbowl.:whackin: Raven 02-06-2006, 03:08 PM was really weird about that game.... something off....hard to describe... nothing went right from the begining to the end of the super bowl....like it was jinxed. nothing felt right... just my impression. basswipe 02-06-2006, 06:02 PM All I can say is how sad its all become when when the two biggest stories to come out of the game are how lame Aaron Neville and the Stones were and how good the commercials were. Every sports show talked about nothing but those two subjects. Game? What Game? Its all about the $$$$$$$$. TheSpecialist 02-06-2006, 06:45 PM Nevermind the bogus offensive holding call negating a Seattle TD VF enjoy it while it last cause based on las nights performance you guys will be lucky to get back next year without someserious upgrades. Goose 02-06-2006, 07:24 PM ESPN just announced SB ref's will be in the parade tomorrow:eek: fishaholic18 02-06-2006, 07:46 PM ESPN just announced SB ref's will be in the parade tomorrow:eek: :fishslap: :behead: :gorez: :rocketem: :wall: Raider Ronnie 02-06-2006, 07:50 PM Said it before....do away with all the pomp and circumstance and just play the friggen game!!!! Slipknot 02-06-2006, 08:43 PM Ya, I was wondering where Monttana was. found out today he wanted $100000 gauranteed appearances fees sounds like alot to me, and from what I hear he would have gotten more but he wanted it for sure, so I guess the nfl said no. Goose, :D good one BigFish 02-06-2006, 10:16 PM I was wondering the same thing...where was Montana and Bradshaw? Guys like that are the reason that sports is not what it used to be! What a moron..:laugha: Squid kids Dad 02-07-2006, 08:40 AM According to Terry before the superbowl he called Rooney and explained to him why he wasn't going and Rooney said no problem,he understood... Raider Ronnie 02-07-2006, 08:26 PM From what I heard today on weei Seems Joe Montana has been a greedy bastard all along!!! He refused showing up at his old high school 10 years ago because they wouldn't pay his fee also! He gave some stupid excuse for not showing up for the super bowl, said he was fisnished with football and has moved on, Yet the greedy bastard only gives autographs if you pay something like $150.00, and for something like $175.00 you can get your pic taken with him! I used to like the guy, USED TO !!!:smash: Vectorfisher 02-08-2006, 03:17 PM It just turns my stomach how much these athletes get paid when they play and then when they retire they pull stunts like this. After all isn't it the fans that have supported him in the past? If Joe Montana turned out to be a mediocre player the fans would have been at the games paying his salary, I think that players lose sight of reality for the most part. I would love to have him ask me for $ 150 to get an autograph someone would have get me oxygen from laughing so friggin hard in his face hooked 02-08-2006, 03:55 PM Stealers?
