I just thought I'd pass along a website that sells Alaskan yellow cedar dowels and other exotic wood dowels. If you're like me and don't have a lathe, you might find it worthwhile. They are not cheap. For example, a 7/8 inch AYC dowel costs $1.85 per linear foot. He will sell small quantities as well as large. He ships from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada which takes a while. The site is dowelsondemand.com -Bob J.

I'm not sure what "spam alert " means. My post was genuine. If you don't recognize me, it's because that was my first ever post on s-b. I just wanted to share a resource that was useful to me. -Bob J.
