Wake up Thursday feeling like I got hit by a bus. Go to work, suffer. Aches, coughing crap up, headache, hot-cold hot-cold hot-cold. Flat on my back for 2 days.

I feel like arse! (Look like it too according to the wife)

I've been battling it for close to 2 weeks!
Could be worse, last year, I got it the week I started my captains lic. classes, made it kind of tough to absorb the info being taught when my head was spinning before I showed for the class!
Hope you feel better,,& if you have any miracle quick cures to get rid of it, let me know !!!

well now that your i'll...you need to give your body a boost
to it's imune system....Got echinacea herb? the germans proved it
works bigtime in one of those double blind test studies
and ....it works!! fantastic !

have the wife go to CVS and her buy the cvs brand
500 milligram ACEROLA chewable wafers and then wiz a bunch of them in the blender with welches grape juice... sometimes you have to crush them first with a rolling pin with them(the wafers) inside a heavy zip lock food storage bag. Remember you piss away 2/3 of what ever amount of vitamin c you take....as its water soluable.
i throw 8-10 in the bag without a second thought....i want power!
note:
(if however you find that too acidic for your stomach just eat either a couple of tums, rolaids ect or eat a piece of chocolate which will help neutralize some of the acidity because their both alkaline.)

as soon as you can eat...try something real hot and spicy like
a house fried rice sprinkled with your favorite hot spice mix and that'll double your imune sytems power along with the echinacea herb. also you can have a medium or hot salsa with your eggs and toast breakfast and avoid all dairy products for the time being.

when i get that first flash of flu feeing in my head
where you suddenly say CRAP! i have the flue
here's my go to recipe while i still have an appetite:

my favorite cure is: large shrimp...peeled and boiled first til MOSTLY
cooked then i butterfly the fat ends and spread them flat with the tails standing up. add butter (real) then you sprinkle them with lots of ground black pepper
and cajun spices along with a few drops here and there of MONGOLIAN fire oil (sounds lethal i know)
caution: be careful with it....its strong and the smoke from it is like
tear gas if the grill is too hot so have adequate ventilation and keep it (the smoke) from getting in your eyes....it acts like tear gas.
trust me....this recipe will kick the CRAP out of flu by 50-75%
overnight.... and make you'll feel like your winning the battle again.

but it will make those little beads of sweat on your nose in about 90 seconds....and thats exactly what ya want...
you can also increase your Zinc intake too, to further kick that cold or flu's ass.

to maximize and restore your energy levels the best remedy is tupelo honey...
which has the highest level of levulos (the slowest burning sugar)
and or you should be taking siberian or korean ginseng herb too.

the OLDEST and BEST recipe in the world and the simplest is making a apple cider vinegar drink.... its only 5% vinegar ok .. and extremely healthy for you. heres how you make it... you take a glass and add
a table spoon of honey then you add either a half table spoon of apple cider vinegar or a full one depending on your taste preference
and mix them together and they'll blend perfectly, then mix in welches grape juice..it tastes very much like a red wine and it'll shift your body's PH back to slightly acidic (where its supposed to be)
where germs cannot survive or thrive....it makes them die.
Germs only can get a foot hold when your system has become too alkaline.

captain Ron: when i first went to computer classes i found the material difficult to absorb and allot of it was going completely right over my head.....then after reading about how as you age you get less oxygen going to your brain....i began taking the ginko biloba herb every day which increases the amount of oxygen to your head...
and within two weeks i had made a complete reversal and was teaching everyone....and i was being asked questions instead.:btu:

ps. the other thing that makes your head spin too fast is from drinking to much coffee.... ya know when you've had to much alcohol or mixed drinks and suddenly you get all fired up physically
from being drunk...mainly, but you get that: i can kick the worlds ass feeling... well thats what to much coffee (caffiene) does to your brain... so maybe order a small one , instead of a large.... because it makes your brain run like a car that has the idle set so high that its racing !making it much harder to concetrate.....it makes you skip from one thought to the next (way to fast) without much clarity....

what's ironic....is... that the by product from making beer, the spent brewer's yeast thats dried in a flake form and is best stired in milk
(buy it at the health food store) totally restores your brain cells neural transmission capabilty (read communication) back to pefect.
it makes Milk taste great and gives you ALL the b vitamins except
for b-12 ...and folic acid.

for the compliment.... knowledge has no power unless it is shared
....and i want all my S-B friends healthy, happy and informed.
i still have plenty to learn... health is just one of my subjects of special interest... and also because without it ---> money is meaningless.:hihi:

Raven, how do you find the energy to do those recipes when you're down for the count. I don't know if I'm physically able, it feels like Jim Braddock did a major workout on my kidneys and someone else worked on my joints, the rest feels like the thread starter plus a decent fever. I guess a little apple vinegar cider, grapejuice and honey can't hurt.

trust in nature.... that sounds like bronchitus symptoms.........also
when your flinging lung loogies...
the best remedy for that is found in your health food store.
it's slippery elm bark tea... it's a little tricky to make because of the muscilaginous stuff in it.... but if you "decanter "(slowly pour over the edge) the red liquid from cold tea
off of the pan you steeped it in and then filter it thru a regular coffee filter you have red gold .......... after reheating of course....it dislodges all that mucous off of your throat lining with ease and you can pass it out the south end. I used to get severe bronchitus each year and thats what i made in the worst case scenario's... you can also just buy : brand name "thayers" slippery elm bark losenges . its a very curing inner bark of the slippery elm tree an old indian remedy. it tastes good and sweet.
it's very nutritive....and the indians thrived on it in winter time.

well .... i have a very wonderful wife to make it for me... :btu:

it only takes 2 minutes to stir together honey and apple cider vinegar
which is only 5% vinegar... not to be confused with white (clear) vinegar...
and then add welches grape juice and stir it...good

that'll help you as well bob to recover quicker...

this season (winter 06) the flu has tried to get her nasty fingers around my throat...

and three times i quickly took: echinacea herb (two capsules)
and some vitamin C and Zinc.... and i prevented it from
taking hold... including a bit more sleep....i don't sleep much because i'm always reading something.

i do the hot (nuked ) butterfly shrimp only when it's already active.
to head it off at the pass...so to speak...

the welches grape juice drink (with apple cider vinegar and honey) is for rebuilding your energy and making your system slightly acidic so the cold germs can't live in your body.
