Anyone had any experience with the Lamiglass "tri-flex" blanks. I'm thinking about building a new surf rod (9' -10'). They've been out about 3 years or so but I don't know anyone who has used one.

Whadoyathink?

I build a couple. People liked them . They feel like nice blanks.

I have one that I got this year.

Made by Seawolf. Dave did a very good job.

I love it . I dIdn't get to use it as much as I would have like d to but when I did it was great.

The CSB1201M is the perfect eel stick, soft tip, with some balls. Won't cast with the graphite rods and will handle about 3 1/2 oz...nice stick, not the best, but will do a lotta things pretty well. It bends to the butt, like a cross between a allstar 1207 and a lami 1213M.

luds - go here for lamiglas rod/blank info - http://www.lamiglas.com/

csb was a nice rod and in it's stock length would throw an eel nice. it topped out at about 3oz stock. but, as mentioned, it is no longer being produced.

Seawolf,

Thanks. I couldn't find the Lamiglas page because I was spelling it with an extra S. :hs:

My seawolf lami triflex is the ballz. I even had to let the builder borrow it and fish it to convince him to build himself one.
