Where's the link for this? I just did a quick search on Google News and couldn't find anything.

This sort of waste drives me nuts.

I haven't heard of that but 100 million for pro democracy in Iran might have been better than the 2.5 mil for Iraq back in 01-02

What a frieking joke this would be. The head terrorist/president will just use it to finish boiling up enough plutonium to finish his first bomb.

See, ya try to buy 'em first and then if that don't work then you blast 'em! It's simple logic really.

This gov't is VERY out of touch with this country. So many kids here in the US share school books or are lucky just to see one because of how poor some school systems are. Yet we're paying for Iranians to study here?

Embarassing. And that can be said for a lot of the other things we spend so much money on while ignoring all the problems here on the homefront.

When people talk about the need for revolution in this country, waste and ignorance like this is why.

Also, lets think about "sanctions" in Iran. Who do they really hurt? The people ruling the country? Doubtful. It mostly hurts those who are already underprivileged in that country. And as usual, we're surprised they don't like us....

I think you have to read between the lines. Promoting democracy in Iran is not done the same way as in Poland for example. Think assassins:uhoh:

I'm hoping that the whole thing is political speak for covert operatons.

This is typical of the powers in charge right now, to throw money at useless causes while hurricane victims live in tents.

I dont know if they are capable of getting a nuke to us just yet. (at least i hope not) But they will certainly send one over Isreals way for sure. They've already said they would. But Isreal and the US will take em out before they get a nuke. That i will promise you. Even the freakin French are talking tough to Iran! If the French are pissed it must be serious!!

And just who will the opposing sides be in this forthcoming revolution?
