I have fished quite a bit down there. Lots of silver with black/blue backs. Flesh/cream/white colored are popular too. The majority of the baits down there are in these color patterns. (shrimp/threadfin herring/grunts/pinfish etc)

I'd spin a few poppers and spook type plugs as well. Walk the dog under the mangrove overhangs and around dock structure. But if he is from down there, he knows the drill! :btu:

Red/White is the classic snook killer... at least that's what I'm told. I f I were you, I'd look up some of the bait down there and copy that. They have bunker, pigfish and "greenies" which look like greenish herring. I'm sure there are many others... tons of bait down there.

Dave, in my limited experience with Florida fishing I have a question, West or East coast?

See in Florida the west coast guys use plugs ( mostly plastic like Mirro-lures) and the east coast guys love jigs and rubber. One of the more popular plugs used to be a darter ( I will post a pic) made by a company called Captain Ahab. It's wood and resembles a Creek Chub darter in yellow clown pattern. I will post tonight. Snookies luv them. Also, is you can find, or hell, you could make some Arbogast Chuggers work well for shnooks too.

DOA rubber works great too, especially shrimp looking stuff.

I've had a lot of requests for Red/white and pink from down there. So I assume it works well for them ;)
