Well fellas now that the hoopla of Daytona speedweeks is over the season has now started in earnest.

Fontana is a track that can host a great race because the cars go four even five wide and pass one another because no plates are involved. At the same time the big wide sweeping 2 mile oval can make for a real snoozer.Lets hope for the former.

How about all the trash that blows around there? It's unbelievable. There were hot dog wrappers and crap stuck to a lot of grilles last year.

Any predictions B W? Mr 24 is 3 time winner ( whinner ) 48 car has 1, Biffle, but I think Edwards needs some redemption this week!

Don't forget Kyle Busch won the fall race last year.

Its hard to predict tracks like this and Michigan. You really need an all around good car.The aero, horsepower and handling are all equally important.Good pitting is very impotant but it always is.

I predict all other cars on the track will be at least 3 laps down to the 24 at end.:usd:

Cali will be a "wake me with 25 to go" type race that will bore me to tears for 90% of the race and then have a side by side finish.

Johnson usually runs well there so I look forward to the race but I will probably be paying more attention to the Sluggos I'm rigging.

I find that I do similar things during the Fontana and Michigan races.
I'm in front of the TV but I'm taking care of fishing stuff. The best of both worlds.

I love the california speedway exec's excuse for the stands not looking full, everyone was down below shopping during the race. That's because the race was so boring you moron. How does he see that as a good thing. He also says that they're considering progessive banking.

Give it a few years and this track will disappear from the schedule.

Nascar and Helton in particular screwed up by letting tracks like North Wilkesboro,Hickory and Rockingham go by the wayside. That and taking away one of Darlington's dates.

Think about this:The Rock is gone. The freakin Rock!

All these new cookie-cutter tracks like Chicago,Kansas,Fontana and Gateway are a boring brand of racing. We got another one in Washington State to look forward to in '08.

When the almighty $$$ becomes the main focus the racing ends up in second.
