The way the fly swap went , we ended up with 2 extra sets , not one. Bobbike got the first extra set. So here is a picture of the set. Lets close the auction in 2 weeks at 11:59 PM April 16.

All proceeds go to John for the site.

Ha Plum Island, I have done some flyfishin on the mud flats up there. The assortment of sand eel paterns in that set are killer.

Thanks for the information Smokey :)
Got anymore information on this area?
I'm looking for any information on the water depths off the point.
The sand bars...water level around them,etc....

Plum - get a detailed nautical map of that shoreline - second best thing you can do as a shore angler. Best thing is to go to these places at dead low, preffereably full or new moon, and scout the areas out - leave your rod at home so you have to scout instead of fish. See where the drop-offs are and the rocks and the bars...

Remember - you have 9 feet or so of tide there so a lot of water moves in and out. That's why you want to see the bottom on a moon low because you'll be able to work & visualize the structure at all higher tides...

I'm sorry, but I have to remove my bid from this auction.
I wish I didn't have to, but for reasons I would rather not say..
I just have to remove my bid :(

Maybe next time :)

PS:
I want to try tying my first fly.
I found a kit, and it includes
everything, but can't I just
buy some hooks,beads,string,line,etc..?

P.I., don't worry I was going to outbid you anyway. So, I'll offer $45. The flies look super sweet!!

Plum, You sure can just buy what you need. I got started tying flies in a pair of vise grips in a wood calmp an dmoved up to a drill chuck. Other than that you can almost get by with no tools, but a couple of bobbins and a whip finisher are real helpful. Some if not all of our sponsors carry fly tying supplies AND offer us discounts as members.:D
