Here is what we've been working on. A lot of you have seen these already. We pour them rigged and unrigged... I have no riggies left. They're 14" long and swim as though alive (we have a 10" in the works). Its been fun working with a new "medium" for a change. :hihi:

Nice work Dave. :kewl: Are there 3 colors there?

Canalman
03-01-2006, 11:15 PM
Yeah 3 of the many :)

those have glitter we make them with and without. The rigged versions have Vmc hooks and the standard 50# dacron line. These things swim like nothing else I've seen, just like eeels :) Oh and I should clarify that when I say "we" I mean F18 and I.

are they made for beach ,boat, or the canal with lead head jigs ,2to 5 ozs ???or all the above.

Canalman
03-02-2006, 01:44 PM
yes, yes, yes

They work best rigged 2 hooks and fished either unweighted or with a weight between the 2 hooks. Just a few jerks with the rod tip and they come to life. They cast as well as an eel casts so from shore or from the boat, they will work.

Rigged a few of these up today. Can't wait to try them out! As directed, I did them as I would a rigged eel with a 6/0 siwash rear and a 7/0 siwash front. I like the thought that these can be thrown on conventional gear. I have trouble properly working/throwing a 9" slug-go, but these feel heavy enough to run just like a rigged eel.

We have been testing them with 6/0 siwash front and 5/0 rear with no weight, you can fish them slow like you would a live eel. You can also add weight in the center if needed to get it to sink faster, it will not effect the action at all.

Can you buy these in bulk?:uhuh:

Canalman
03-06-2006, 10:06 AM
Yes we will sell them in bulk. Very soon the 10" version will be finished.

Mike, once you see them in the water there will be no doubt in anyone's mind about there fish tempting ability. This is the closest thing to a live eel that I have ever seen. I have tried a lot of things to take the place of an eel as I'm sure many of us have. There's nothing out there that actually moves like an eel. This does. You'll have to take my word for it for now but when you get one in the water and give it a twitch you will be amazed... I never thought it would work like it does when we came up with the idea. I just can't wait to get them in peoples hands and into the water. We'll be offering a sponsor special on them soon.
