RRC has a little 13', mostly freshwater aluminum boat. It's gotten pretty Whiskey Tango over the years, and it's time to make her all nice and pretty for this season. Not sure if we will replace the decking or not. It has, uh, it looks like blue astroturf, on it, as well as a bit of moss growth. If the wood's still sound enough, should we try to treat it with anything to preserve it a little longer? Also, the console is a little funky from plastics melting in the sun and has some rust spots. Would it be advisable to sand a bit and repaint, or would that speed its deterioration? Stuff's gonna get rewired, with the help of Uncle Nigel's guide to boat electronics. Basically, she needs alot of maintenance work that just hasn't been done. What would you suggest to make her all nice and spiffy, and to make sure she lasts for the years to come?
