what's the average distance you travel from dock to fishing grounds? My favorite spot is almost 30 miles, but a great producer with the promise of large.

I have caught more bass less than one mile from my home port. They say accidents happen less than one mile from home.

I am less than 15 miles 95% of the time, and I would say half of the time I am less than 5 miles.

30 miles!!! That is a long haul for stripers.....

depends how much time you got?
after work, for a few hours,2-3 miles to the bass.
weekends, 30-60 miles is not uncomon.

End of last season me and a buddy were catching one bass after another within site of my slip. Fish were 18-38 inches.

Other than that anywhere from 1 to 30 miles.

I CAN'T WAIT !!!!!

It depends on what I'm fishing for. Inshore fish, I'll typically run 5-25 miles. Offshore stuff anywhere from 30 to 100 miles each way.

It depends on the day and who we are with. One of our friends is so close to shore that every cast could get a surfcaster. Most of the time is 1 to 26 miles. might be different this year.

I run out of Fairhaven and am usually heading for the backside of the vineyard, or nomans, so 20mi+, now if you count the 87 mile ride from Littleton to Fairhaven.....

0 to 60 miles; but once you are out past where most of the boats are, safety should be your first and foremost concern with regards to distance traveled. No fish is worth compromising your/someone else's safety.
