bucktail holds up better. I use feathers on my squids... better profile, they seem to stand out better.

IMHO poppers are very active plugs, alot of thrashing around. I would think that hair would stand up longer than feathers.
Use bucktailed hooks.

Neither. The added stuff on the tail will mess with the action.
