Did I miss an announcement from NSTAR regarding rate increase?? The last 2 months our bill went from $110.00 a month to $ 300+ we have not bought anything that uses anymore electricity and have not changed out lifestyle in any way shape or form to more than double our bill. My wife has called NSUCK and they tell us  WTF

they sometimes goof....check everything.
meters screw up allot. they sometimes run way to fast
for what ever reason... you can test it.. though
by shutting off your main power (breaker) switch and see if its still
running.. of course :you'll have to re-set all your Clocks.
~
if that checks out you might want to do a thorough accounting
of whats on... being used ect.. i use candles, tv, PC and the fire place for light in the evening.....and rarely
use lights unless absolutely necessary to be ultra conservative.:musc:

Indeed, there was a big rate increase on the cape. My first electric bill after the rate increase was almost double, previous to the increase, but that was wrong. They took a meter reading like 2 1/2 weeks prior the date of the increase, but charged us at the increased rate. Acording to the cc times, that happened to alot of nstar customers. Check your bill statements, and see when they started charging for the rate increase. When we notified nstart, they admitted the mistake, and credited out account.

The last I checked if I added the whole bill together I was at almost 20 cents per kwh.
