Super popular with the offshore set on skirts and some plugs.
Why not as belly or trailer hooks on plugs?

Diggin Jiggin 03-28-2006, 06:07 PM I've been looking for some and found a small box of 4/0 mustads at the msba show, but they wanted 20$ for em which I thought was kind of steep. likwid 03-28-2006, 06:28 PM New Melton catalogue has the 4/0 for $14.99 (Mustad 7982HS) Skitterpop 03-28-2006, 08:44 PM They`re not cheap anywhere. The only downside is that the tip gets black from where you sharpen it. Carbon steel is stronger than stainless, so in my opinion, unless you're using it for white flies and you don't want to dirty the material, coated hooks are the way to go. Once the coating wears off and they get rusty, change em. I love those 4x VMC trebles. vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
