Best way I have seen is to get one of the flexcoat syringes. Tie a thin straw over the tip. Drill a few holes in the reel seat without digging into the blank and inject some epoxy (30 minute) into the holes. Get as much in the interface between the seat and the blank as you can through the holes. Remember , the syringe will be become useless if you let the epoxy cure inside.

If you haven't done this yet and the rod you try this on happens to be an older St Croix which seem prone to this problem, keep backing off drill and be on look-out for a tan color material. It's masking tape used to space the reel seat off the blank, if you see it drill a half inch up/down reelseat.
I have seen this happen with the St.Croix's.it seems they use a 3 pc reel seat. What a PITA.
