Got a call while I was about halfway through the show from my girlfriend's daughter that someone broke in while she was at home:realmad: .Good timing the phone rang as they came in and she answered because he/they were gone before barely getting pased the front door.So nothing is gone. The poor dog(a yorkie) is traumatized. Let's hope the SOBs get caught!:nailem:Just got done replacing the deadbolts

That stinks man. Thankfully she is safe and ok. I'm sure she will have a tough night sleeping though. Sounds like there might of been a different outcome had the phone not rung.
I'm glad all is well. Time to get a large German Shepherd or a Dobie!

The timing of the phone ringing was uncanny.Short of being home with gun in hand a good dog is the next best thing and she is looking at that option but its gonna come down to money making that decision.

Sorry to hear that Norman. Sucks what people do sometimes. Glad they didn't get anything and left.

The phone rang before we made it to the aisle your booth was in!
The person handling this best is my girl's daughter. My girl is crying and I'm just plain angry and ready to shoot the bastards!

Keep the faith man. Remember that less than 1% of the population are scumbags. Give your gilrfriends daughter a hug and help her move on. Tiverton is a nice area. Don't give up on the whole human race.
I'm glad all is well with your family. Lesson learned I guess.

One thing that has changed for my girlfriend and her daughter is that now the doors are locked and deadbolted when IN the house. Intantaneuos life change.
Basswipe....same thing here a week and a half ago we noticed someone tried prying our door open. Not sure when it happened though...if we were home or not. Weird thing is (and I hate to admit it) but there were many ways they could have gotten in and didnt. which makes me think they got scared off in the middle of it all somehow.
Now...my 380 by the bed at night and deadbolts always locked. new and better lighting around the house.
The most important part though was for a coup[le days I was flipping out...couldnt sleep afraid to be home alone....afraid to come and go at night, etc. I finally convinced myself that they HAD gotten in. They got inside my head and I was afraid to be in my own home. I told myself to let it go because you cant live your life in fear!
Best of luck to your girlfriend and glad no one was hurt

Advice to those who are armed, if you shoot them on they way out, turned them around the other way (facing in) before you call the police.:bgi:
Man that sux. Some people are unbelievably brazen. Glad nothing happened and hope they catch the low life.
