Please pass on my congratulations to Julie. I'm sure we will be seeing some fantastic photos from the race. Pt.JudeJoe 04-05-2006, 08:56 AM Congrats Julie!:claps: and Bob ,you knew she was a keeper  lo those many years ago! tattoobob 04-05-2006, 03:37 PM I believe it is two weeks a year, but I don't know, and basically take care of house while the guests are there, and then (still not sure) we get a couple of days to say with friends and family there. The job is a volinteer thing so it will just give me more time to fish. I will pass on all the well wishes, thanks In The Surf 04-05-2006, 05:04 PM :claps:  :bounce: Congrats to Julie and to you, hope she gets some good weeks to be the keeper. You definately have some good places to fish lined up. Sea Dangles 04-05-2006, 06:04 PM Awesome Bob,I took the wife and kids for the tour last year and there is no place I'd rather be.Gets hot up top but the view.....Do you know what weeks she gets?Hopefully for you they're biting. Partay people :gu: tattoobob 04-05-2006, 08:56 PM I have a good feeling I will be there at least 4 to 5 weeks this year :uhuh: I will be at Block Island the 18th to the 25th of June so I am going to miss one of the legs if they pick the 24th. but if thats the RI date I am golden. I told my boss last week all the days I need off and I think he crapped himself. well lets just say he wasn't very happy and told me summer fishing was canceled, I said I am packing my tools and going home now and I will see you at the end of October. Swimmer 04-06-2006, 05:51 PM Tattoobob, given that Julies passion is her pictures and you, do you think she would consider setting up a web cam of the race that we can log onto? This could be huge. :rotf2: tattoobob 04-06-2006, 08:37 PM That would be great the only thing is there is no intenet access at the Race hardly any cell service to. and no TV either. gone fishin 04-06-2006, 08:52 PM Cell works fine - Verizon ??:grins:  :call: Squid kids Dad 04-06-2006, 09:24 PM Can you hear me now ?:call: C-5 CC 04-07-2006, 12:57 AM AT+T also worked well out there... now it's Altell, but I have only seen improvment in service. tattoobob 04-07-2006, 02:36 PM I have Nextel and the service sucks big time, They need to do something because I can't even have service at my house in Billerica, there are so many dead zones it isn't funny. if it wasn't free from my work I would get Verison. tattoobob 04-08-2006, 04:25 PM I just got back from the Cape, I dropped my wife off for lighthouse training and I headed to Race Point to get my ORV permit. I was quite surprised by the No Line at all at 9:30 on a Saturday, I got it no problems. I drove back to Lighthouse training and sat in on the whole thing. I found out that I am now a volenteer also so I am also a keeper. I found out a lot of great stuff and that web cam may just happen with alot of other new stuff, the volenteer staff is mostly older folks with a weath of knowledge and I look forward to working and learning with/from them. Surfpirate 04-08-2006, 06:07 PM great news! :jump: I am sure there will be plenty of pictures taken when time permits! your wife may need another camera or memory stick or rechargable batteries... fair is fair! Slipknot 04-08-2006, 06:15 PM :btu: that is great Bob have fun with that tattoobob 04-09-2006, 07:41 AM great news! :jump: I am sure there will be plenty of pictures taken when time permits! your wife may need another camera or memory stick or rechargable batteries... fair is fair! She needs lennes, she is going to do a movie for the ADA (American Disablities Act) so they don't have to change the buildings and everyone can enjoy the whole experience. chris L 04-09-2006, 10:21 AM I have been wanting to do the light house keeper thing at rose island RI .It has at least a 2 year waiting list .
