I'd just like to say thank you to the hardy souls who got up early this morning and cleaned Plymouth long beach.

I needed to test some needlefish prototypes this morning and I knew high was around 9, and it was a nasty cold 38 degrees with 15-20 NNE coming in right off the water. So I drove out on Plymouth long beach which is a peninsula with water on both sides so I could get the wind behind me. When I get to the beach right at the end of the parking lot are 10-15 MBBA trucks, and volunteers are spread out the whole length of the beach cleaning up a winters worth of debris.

I'm not a member of MBBA, but I wish I'd known this was today so I could have made plans to help out. Anyways, as a plymouth resident who fishes that beach, and knows how cold it was out there. :thanks:

I really wanted to got today, :( but my honey-do list, and chore list is way behind. So, spent the day trying tocatch up, here.

I enjoy doing Plymouth, for me it's nice to have a look at a beach, that normally, I could not go to.. I bet the fishing is good there too. :)

Hey DJ thanks for the comment. I was there and it was very windy and cold. We accomplished most of what was expected excepting new fencing. The material didn't show up. I wish you had introduced yourself. The MBBA is a fine group and I am sure you would have fit in just fine. There were over 50 members there today. :thanks: Karl - missed you this time around - maybe the next trip out. Are you planning to go to Salisbury? or maybe Chapin? If not I will catch up with you at the Race or Nauset.

Don, gonna try and make Sandy Neck (looks AOK, so far), the Race (fingers crossed), and Nauset (that one, is a definate, for me).. I would love to make Chapin, that is always a fun project to do, but I don't think I can get that day off.
Glad to hear there was a good turnout today... did you do Duxbury yesterday?

No missed Duxbury - had a Job to complete. They had 32 or so yesterday. Miserable weather - rain sleet snow and COLD. They couldn't get on the beach as they closed the crossover, so the did the surrounding areas. Looking forward to seeing you soon Sandy or wherever.
