This guy stinks out loud, swings at every pitch, and he put a out into the stands for a two run homer, the guy can't catch a fly ball ?
I find it hard to believe the Sox gave up Bronson for this guy,and had to pay part of bronson salery to boot,Theo had his pocket picked :yak6:

The kids raw talent. Will he develop, who knows? He's got monster power. We just need Ortiz to teach him plate discipline.

Ortiz today, works a 3-0 count and gets the green light and homers. I used to love when Dwight Evans would do that... 3-0 greenlight, you gotta earn that ....

I think Pena's 5 yrs younger than Arroyo, and the sox were looking down the road to when Trot is gone.

I saw that today, Bronson has 2 home runs,
Manny has 0 :hihi: but he usually starts off slow!!!

Be fair about it---figure out the % of HRs to ABs. Because if Arroyo pitches every 6th day, he'll have about 1/10th of the ABs Manny will get, and in half of them he'll be sent up to bunt.

Plus, no one is going to pitch around, or intentionally walk, Arroyo.

not talking bronson to anyone homer #'s that would be silly. i'm talking about total production #'s for each player at his position.

Way to early to tell how Pena will do but I hope Trot is ok.

And who the hell is Wake's new catcher?

First game 5 passed balls?
Or was that just "first game stress"?

It was 3 passed balls, and I've seen Mirabelli do that after years of catching for Wakefield. Varitek had a few last year in a game with Wake as well. Give the guy some time.
