Don't really feel like paying 12 bucks a wack for something i can make just as well :) Thanks S westhavendave 04-14-2006, 07:35 PM Most major tackle shops carry it. I get mine from Rivers End B+T in Old Saybrook CT. MrHunters 04-14-2006, 07:39 PM yea.... i was wondering if there was any online places that carried bulk rolls. ProfessorM 04-14-2006, 07:58 PM CMS in Nu Beige will sell you some lengths. Not a great deal but fair. That is where I get mine. Paul Skitterpop 04-15-2006, 07:51 AM FH, Google up a search for plastic/latex tubing....found some sites this winter, not fishing related, that have a good deal on rolls....different colors and diameters to. :eyes: MrHunters 04-15-2006, 01:56 PM what do you guys use for the head of the tube?? I went to a handful of tackle shops today to try and find something that looked like a weighted swivel or a weighted leader... best i could come up with was a swivel, egg sinker, leader wire, and alot of frustration trying to get the knot on the swivel close enough to the tube so that its nice and snug. Skitterpop 04-15-2006, 02:13 PM I think a trolling (tube shaped) sinker would work fine. If bass hit eels head on usually I would want my hook up close to the front. This is assuming you want to try some from the surf. A lot more durable than most plastic/rubber. Trolling ... the end hook seems to catch. MrHunters 04-15-2006, 02:17 PM im thinking more along the lines of tradtional trolling tube. Ill stick with my plugs from the shore ;) Pt.JudeJoe 04-15-2006, 02:36 PM Get some ss wire and twist on a swivel ,then slide a 1 oz. egg sinker up to the swivel. Cut the tube to the length you like (don't forget to cut the tail end on an angle ) and put the wire thru it,and try to slide it over the sinker. Haywire your hook on the end and add worm. Some people like to put a stinger/trailer hook over the first hook . Skitterpop 04-15-2006, 03:35 PM im thinking more along the lines of tradtional trolling tube. Ill stick with my plugs from the shore ;) Us surf morons always think surf even if the post says tube and worm :smash: did you find the sites? Some are medical related. swanny 04-15-2006, 05:25 PM SNL corp. always great service for me. http://www.snlcorp.com/Webpages/tubing.htm gone fishin 04-15-2006, 06:38 PM I thinkKay has some tube stuff at Surfland Bait & tackle.:fishslap: mikecc 04-15-2006, 06:59 PM What ever type you choose make sure it comes in loose coils or on spools. Any tubing coiled and restricted with bands or zip tyes kinks the tube and it is useless. It sucks when your making tubes 24-30" and the stuff is kinked it never swims right tattoobob 04-15-2006, 09:49 PM Here are some sites I used http://www.4fishin.com/surgical_tubing.htm http://www.barlowstackle.com/acb/showdetl.cfm?&DID=6&Product_ID=987&CATID=55 http://www.4fishin.com/limerick.htm#31022CT vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
