View Full Version : Spinnerbait Schoolies
Got Stripers 04-17-2006, 12:14 PM Had a ball Saturday, with a large number coming on something different to make it interesting, man I love spinnerbait hits. I would try this with any bait, as stripers tend to mangle standard spinnerbaits in short order, but the titanium arm baits although pricey; do hold up without bending. Plastic, poppers and spinnerbaits, life is good.

Rockport24 04-17-2006, 03:27 PM that's cool G/S, I always wondered why spinnerbaits are not really popular in the salt, they are such a staple in the sweetwater.
have you seen these kinds? It's like a spinnerbait with a cocochoe on it!
5 String Bass 04-17-2006, 03:50 PM not a bad schoolie. I'd catch 'em on light tackle and be smiling too.
Goose 04-17-2006, 07:50 PM Nice B. Tie the spinner baits and buzz baits to your truck antena, primes them for extra vibration.
I tried some spinner baits the fall before last and the fish kept hitting the spinner. it was very frustrating and i never used one after that. maybe i was doing something wrong
fishaholic18 04-17-2006, 07:56 PM I've used spinner bait on schoolies from time to time, I did well on them.
