Although there are plenty of holdover fish to be caught on the Cape right now, last night I took my first fresh fish of the season from an ocean front spot that I fished 5 of the last seven nights before without a hit. Complete with sea lice ( you can form your own opinion on that). April 17th, I was one day off on my predictions that I had made to a few people on the board here and several fishing friends. 22 inches bright and shiny and strong. Go get 'em.

What I catch the first one on for the last six years. A olive green Renegade minnow with a change out on the splits and replace the bronze hooks with Cadmium plateds. Walmart 1.98 each. Can't beat it and they outcatch everything you match against it. True story. Going back out in 45 minutes.
