Im sure Habs has some sweet stuff in the works, there is a reason his needles are the only ones i use...
LIBB what is the thing in ur avatar.
I saw the NIBbage bottle in there and would like to place an order.:tm:
About 3 winters ago I got my friend to spin some of those bodies. He had gotten a blade machine where the blank spins against a balde with the profile of the bottle. We ran off some an wasted quite a few before we came up with the right jig for the mouth.there was 4 of us I maybe got a half dozen. That was the last one I had.I just did some bigger ones for myself.Without a duplicator i could not set up a jig an had to do each one by hand (eye). It takes abot a hour per plug.I made some for the current. Not as big a head an a longer streamlined lip.Kinda like Bob Hahns.I really wanted to keep em for myself as I don't get any good treats for me.NOBODY makes a good bottle anymore.
So what do u have to trade...
libassboy 04-22-2006, 01:16 PM NIB, its a fish wrap under a stripper roller guide i did on a tuna stick...
Slipknot 04-22-2006, 05:33 PM .NOBODY makes a good bottle anymore.
.
:hs: I beg to differ
Sea Dangles 04-22-2006, 05:51 PM I'm always looking for a good bottle plug. This usually means anolder style gibbs.NIB ,a fair trade will probably be a photo of you in a dress this fall for your bottle plug.:p
:hs: I beg to differ
Ur right.I'm sorry
I should have said no commercial builders.
Kev does make some very good ones.
libassboy 04-22-2006, 07:20 PM I love wood just as much as anybody but give the super strike bottles a try, they are really good...especially the bright green one...:hihi:
yea there nice.probably own 20.Nothing like wood for a bottle.an u bein a LI guy should know u need 3 oz every now an then.
super strikes aren't good???
I hope i didn't imply that.I have a bunch of em but never really got any good fish on em.I think that has to do with the fact I will use some of my older Gibbs when the time an place are right.
Sea Dangles 04-22-2006, 08:41 PM Older Gibbs are hard to come by.I have some nice shwag to trade for the 3 oz. size.Lotta builders out there but none that have gone the bottle route.Hab man will definitely impress with his newest creation,Metal lip and made large to catch large.:rtfm:
Mike P 04-22-2006, 09:49 PM Older Gibbs are hard to come by.
I'm down to my last few myself, and they all have splintered lips from banging against the stones :(
Still have one Hahn new in the package.
Maybe Superstrike will eventually make a 3 oz. Good plastic is better than bad wood, at least in my book.
few yrs.ago I made a nice score in a local shop.Cleared a few pins for 11 dollars each. When we had a rip, before beach replenishment the three once bottles where very popular. But had been sittin in his shop for yrs.
libassboy 04-23-2006, 09:43 AM I hear ya on the 3ozs NIB, the gibbs has a bigger profile too...
