I picked up some Captn Andy swimmers a few years back and they split when I fished them. Is there anyway to prevent them from splitting even more?

Thanks

They are already painted so about the only option is to seal them with epoxy inside and out. Use a pipe cleaner to get the epoxy into the through hole (if they are infact through drilled).

Steve,

Your best bet is to drip some sort of sealer into them if you can. If you want I can do up the sealer for you and re-clear them in their present state if you want. You offered to help me out last year and I'm just getting ya back for it

You can purchase Thompson's water seal in a spray can (home Depot, Walmart, etc.) . I use it for tricky situations like re-sealing plugs that have been painted, etc.

I hope this helps.

Frank,

Im pretty sure the thompsons has wax in it, You want to stay away from sealers that contain wax, because once that wax is gone.... Hello WATER

Thanks for all of your responses. I will try some epoxy.

TT - thanks for the offer, which is extremely nice, but you don't have to do that.
