I think states can apply for a waiver to buy more time. The environmental protection additive that was in it polluted the ground water. It did clean up emissions though. :btu: BigFish 04-24-2006, 08:20 PM Just gonna have to make my fishing trips longer!!!! Instead of driving to the Cape to fish for 12 hours or so I will have to stay 2 or 3 days.........that will suck!:bl: I am going to make this gas thing work for me I can tell you that! lurch 04-24-2006, 08:31 PM Just gonna have to make my fishing trips longer!!!! Instead of driving to the Cape to fish for 12 hours or so I will have to stay 2 or 3 days.........that will suck!:bl: I am going to make this gas thing work for me I can tell you that! I like that one!!! I was thinking of putting my camper down the cape and making and etended stay of it. Bring the wife and kids and when they go to bed I can get out. Diamond Tackle 04-25-2006, 02:00 PM Heard 2 interesting things on the radio today. The govt is suspending the additive requirement for now, so this is no longer an excuse. And Lurch, youre right, the supply side is fine. Does anyone realize that ZERO new REFINERIES have been built it this country in the last 20 years(edited, someone just corrected me its 30 years as of this May ), and there are ZERO PLANS on building new refineries in the near future. Doesnt make much sense does it?? If you were any other business ,making any other product, and you could not keep up with demand, would you not build another FACTORY or increase capacity somehow, not the oil companies. Gee I wonder WHY ??? They even have the COHONES to tell the public that they are currently running at 110% of capacity & will INCREASE the capacity even further. How do they perform this magic trick ? or do they just think we will fall for such as stupid cliche? They are talking to you and I as if we had a 5th grade education, just like a Burger King TV commercial. Skitterpop 04-25-2006, 10:52 PM Billion$ are being made and million$ are being spent to support the continuance of more billion$ being made. bluzjamer 04-25-2006, 11:59 PM Gas in China $1.93 a gallon in Iraq $.35 in Venesuela $.19 I think we should bomb Venesuela! This is a huge hosing of the American populace. We should toss all these crooks out of power and start over. I don't care what the Europeans are paying. They make more per hour, have longer vacations, get way more money for working nights, and have free medical coverage.:nailem: vBulletin® v3.8.7, Copyright ©2000-2025, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.
