Well Ragnar likes it.:tm:
I use a regular bastard file.cost 6.95 in any hardware store in america.Oil it up put it in a plastic lure package like a gibbs package fold it up an slide it in ur lure bag.Better than stones it removes material fast an is inexpensive.Them Lure jensen one are just crappy files, nice an small but they don't get the job done.Plus u can get 4 of em for what that thing costs.

I carry it in the store because everyone wants it, but I've never understood what all the fuss about that file was either.

a bastard file is just the file part though, this thing supposedly holds the hook at the correct angle to give it the sharpest point, I suppose you could use a bastard file for the actual sharpening with this device.
Is this thing even neccessary or is it easy enough to just sharpen the hook against the file holding it in your hand?

Listen fishing is like golf there are thousands of doodads made to supposedly make life easier.when in fact they just complicate things. An make guys like Ron Popeil rich.A coupla swipes each side an an the same down the top of a hook gets the job done.U don't wanna over do it an make a point that will not hold up.

THis is the one I use and all you do is pull the hook across it once and it is done
