Brad the Hawg Hunter Pohler passed away today at Toby Hospital in wareham from a Blood clot.
Brad reciently moved his "production facility" Hawg Hunter Lures to Sagamore. where he could be closer to the action and take care of his friends/customers better.
They say it comes in 3s In the last month Brad had lost 2 of his best fishing partners.

I will post more about calling hours and detals when I here from his wife Marlene again

Thanks for sharing Mike. Very sorry to hear the news. I didn't know Brad at all but know his plugs well. I stopped by and saw him at his booth at the show and bought a bunch of the Hawg Hunter Canal Specials. I guess thats the end of the Hawg Hunter Lures.

My deepest sympathy to all of Brad’s family and friends

I'm very sorry to hear that, very saddened. He was a nice guy who enjoyed all things water. I didn't know him well at all but enjoyed talking with him.

He leaves behind a wife and young son...

We'll pray for you buddy...

Mike--thanks to you and John for easing my shock via e-mail. I appreciate it.

Brad and I go back over 20 years-----and I was going to call him yesterday to console him over the loss last week of his good friend and fishing partner Kevin. I'm kicking myself now as you can all imagine. We hsared a lot of laughs and few cros words over those years, and I would say Brad was probably my best friend in this world. I'm typing thru tears now, as the thought of how he doted on his son Kenny is tearing me apart.

Those of you who knew Brad know of his health problems, but many of you don't know the almost constant pain he's been in for almost 10 years. That's because he never let the pain get the better of his good nature and sense of humor. He's out o pain forever now, so pray for Kenny and his wife Marlene. Brad is also survived by his dad who became a presence in his life again in these last few years. I know Brad is most thankful for repairing that rift and those of us who know him am glad that he died at peace with his dad and all his family and friends.

He's off now to wet a line again with his buddy Huff and his mentors, Tommy McCauley and fat Frank. rest in peace, my friend, and I'll miss the hell outta ya.

I never formally met Brad, I had seen him a couple of times down by the canal selling his plugs. He seemed like a nice guy, and many knew him. I know that Canalratt1 was a friend of his as well. It is a sad loss, we will pray for his family.

Very sad news indeed, Brad was a very nice guy. Talked to him many times about and at the MSBA show. He and I were just talking at the show about his ongoing health problems. What a shame, But at least he will be at peace now.

BC and & wish his family well. We will be praying for them.

Mike,...... the last time I saw Brad was at M&Ds and I bought 3 lures and a hat, all of which I use frequently. I was really looking forward to finding him early this season and heard the bad news as I was taking my first keeper this year ...off the hook(I was wearing his hat and one of Brad's many friends was passing by and noticed it). But it reminded me how well his stuff worked and the good luck I've had with it. My heart goes out to His family and I know many are hoping there will be a fund raiser or auction of some sort to help out.................please post any news of a planned event concerning Brad so I can plan to attend............................................ ...........................thanx..jp

Liveliner - welcome aboard. I wish it were due to other circumstances...

Mike T and I have been talking a little offline and I'm sure he's talking to some other people as well. We want to put something together as a fundraiser and will hope to have some details in the near future...

Yes, let us know on the fundraiser. Marking up his stock of lures to help the family would be a great idea and I would be very interested in helping out in this or some other way.
