OK, I got the confirmation email from OTW yesterday and we are in!

I need to forward names to OTW of those that will be particpating in the tourney for S-B (for obvious reasons). First and last names is all that I am giving, so send me an EMAIL to stripercup@striped-bass.com with your screen name and real name!

When you register for the OTW Cup, enter Striped-Bass.com under the team section if you are fishing for S-B...

As for the end of the year party at Harpoon, I'm thinking maybe we should rent some rooms nearby the harpoon fest, for, uhh, safety sake :hee:

Bronko thats what I did.I just got off the phone with OTW was told switching shouldn't be a problem at all.But they took down my phone # just in case.

I'm looking into how you would do it right now.

If you can switch and you are a subscriber, the price would be the same - if you originally entered in at the $35 and want to add a team affiliation (any team) you can but you would not be credited for the difference in price.

"Switching" means going from unafiliated to affiliated with a team - not switching between teams. If a team were to pull out, that would be different...

This site has some of the best bass fisherman on the east coast. It’s a great opportunity to come together and compete against the best clubs on the east coast. I have not fished in competition in fifteen years, it was the thing that I lived to do and I am looking forward in trying to pull this off for the site. To all of us that have benefited from this great site, and I hope that some of the heavy hitters that I know hang out here will sign on and participate in this quest. I would imagine that the end of the tournament party will be a great time to attend also.. Let the competition begin, I’m in.

If you are fishing as an individual - yes, I can switch you over to S-B. If you are already fishing for another club, then no. If you paid $25 as an individual with a OTW subscription you are all set, If you paid $35 as an individual and now chose to fish for S-B, you will not be credited the $10 difference... Let me know if you want me to switch you to S-B. We have had a few people go from fishing as individuals to S-B (but again, no switching from one team to another)

The only real difference for S-B is that since we are multi-state (or state neutral :hihi: ), we do not enter fish on the state level. So at the end there is the Striper Cup for the one team weighing in the heaviest 10 fish overall and a different winner for the club with the heviest top ten for their particular state - this is pretty reasonable in my opinion...

I received email from OTW John to confirm the switch was made...maybe a sticky just to list Team S-B members for the tourney? Then another for fish entered, who caught/date, etc.

Heading out tonight, hopefully, I score a few points for S-B.

Every time I prep the gear for a night in the zone, I feel like a kid in a candy store. Illusions of grandeur fill my thoughts. Tonight I may catch the illusive 80# fish of my dreams. I will be happy just spending some quiet time on the water.

I have seen the cup. You guys are going to freaking flip out when you see it. The guy that made the Ryder's Cup trophy made it. Heavy investment by OTW. It's going to be a classic piece of striper lore someday.:cheers:
