Great news. I finally caught my first striper of the year! Last night went to the Mousam river in Kennebunk, the tide was running out pretty heavy and schoolies we hitting what I believe were shiners or silversides as some call them. Caught four fish on a #1 yellow Clouser. Fish ran from 20 to 23 inches and were quite sporting on my seven wgt. So it begins. Will keep you all posted on how things are going.

Hit the coming tide this morning. A good amount of schoolies in the Mousam. Caught 8 fish all on yellow clouser, only had an hour to fish. Lots of bait appearing, seem to be either smelt or shiners. Lots of herring in the Saco.

I hit the mousam about 1/2 mile above rte. 9 , not too far from the railroad tressel. You went out today? You're nuts. Good day to catch a hook in the head.
