Frank been there, it can be very good but its a long haul. We were out on the east slope of stelly in the SE part last weekend. Very slow but got a few. There are plenty of spots alot closer just east of the bank.

I've been there a bunch of times - never stopped to bottom fish, but chased tuna all over the place out there. Seeing the seamount itself on the fishfinder is pretty impressive, looks like an underwater mountain. Cool thing is some of the sealife you see out that far east - tuna are feeding on halfbeaks alot of times (a northern ballyhoo) I'd never seen them until my first trip out there.
Good place for sharking - I've seen some pretty big blue dogs out there. Its a pretty big area - alot of times when people say they fished "wildcat" it could mean out to Murray basin and wilkinson's.
