View Full Version : Two reasons the sox are slumping
Bigcat 06-08-2006, 07:34 AM Jason Varitek: has to be the most over rated player on the team.
I am so sick of how great he handles the pitchers.
The guy is just about hitting his weight is and has been a automatic out from mid season last yeay to now:rocketem:
Trot Nixon: although is numbers are good, he just don't do it in the clutch, the guy is a rally killer :rocketem:
Uncle Matt 06-08-2006, 12:55 PM Don't froget to crap on Boston's bullpen. Their starters ERA ranked something like 25th in the Majors and some of their releivers look like they played for the Bad News Bears. Timlin is still rehabing and Wells is more than likely done for the season. One bright spot has been the continual success of Papelbon.
Squid kids Dad 06-08-2006, 01:08 PM Should have kept Arroyo(sp):bc:
Uncle Matt 06-08-2006, 01:30 PM If nothing else, his bat would be a nice addition to the lineup!!!!
vineyardblues 06-08-2006, 01:58 PM I LIKE NIXON ...............
Bigcat 06-08-2006, 01:59 PM How far back do you think the Sox would be without Papelbon?
Not enough superlatives to discribe his game so far.
Mike Lowell too, he would be the starting 3rd baseman for the AL allstar team if it were not for A-Rod .
Bernzy 06-08-2006, 05:56 PM I LIKE NIXON ...............
I'm with VB. I like Nixon :btu:
Bernzy
vineyardblues 06-08-2006, 08:59 PM Great Game tonight Boys ...Thanks
VB
ps. can I get a benzy plug :scream:
Bigcat 06-08-2006, 09:29 PM About time teck got a hit,he did hit into a dp to kill the first rally and almost hit into the second but got lucky on the fielders chose.
A good win we needed it:)
Schilling pitched good just 3 bad pitches for hr's.
Bigcat 06-10-2006, 05:07 AM They proved my point,:) Varitek had a a good game Friday the Sox won.
Nixion, provied most of the offence and was awsome last night:)
Wake pitched a very good game, and Papelbon was Papelbon:)
boot man 06-10-2006, 06:27 AM OK, who would you rather see catching?
In Right Field?
162-0 aint happening. Check the standings, Sox in 1st.
Bigcat 06-10-2006, 07:24 AM Thats easy of active players Ichiro in RF.and Ramone Herandez catching.
I know it ani't happing but thats my picks.
As far as first place in June it means jack, October is were it counts.
Thats why every game is important.
boot man 06-10-2006, 07:45 AM My guess is that you would then rip Ichiro for not having the necessary power for a RF, and Hernandez for calling a terrible game. But as my wife tells me, I'm usually wrong.
Do you actually think anyone on this team, besides Papelbon and Lowell, is doing an adequate job?
afterhours 06-10-2006, 08:11 AM how 'bout youk? or shill? manny ortiz will both come on strong. that kid pauley might be here fir a spell. oh yeah my wife also says i'm usually wrong....
Bigcat 06-10-2006, 10:55 AM Ichrio, now thats funny what has he almost 90 hits this season? That says it all. The man makes contact and don't look bad at the plate.
If Nixion was so great why would they have Willy Moe before he got hurt playing aginest leftys?
Teck has the 14th best batting avgage of AL catchers, that's last.
Over all I am happy with the team the defense is the best the Sox have ever had so far.
