I've heard some of the negative, mainly for boats and such...

BUT...

Anybody else, noticing significant gains in their MPG.. my truck I noticed is a little better (150 with the 4.6) around town, and that's even with a coupla beach runs!..., but, my wifes Expedition with the 5.4... took a big jump, esp. around town, and believe me, she don't drive for mileage :hihi:...
Anbody else

Was :chatter with a mechanic friend about this very issue. He said some vehicles will get better mpg and some worse. Why? I am in the latter catagory:wall:

He said some plastics (read GM fuel pumps) MAY incure a melt down.

Time will tell. Change your fuel filters as this stuff is supposedly a great cleaner.

They're all pretty much plastic, tanks too, shouldn't cause any problem.

I gotta check the figures again...The Expedition went 422 miles, on 22.6 gallons, that's 18.67 MPG, by my calculations.. OK, a round trip to Seekonk, (at warp 8 ;) ) so 180 miles was highway, 242 miles around town, so it was mixed driving highway/around town... and like I said, she don't try for mileage, but, if this is gonna be consistent, I'll be good with that.
My last tank in the truck around town was 17.8, and that was with two medium to short beach runs.... that's a good improvement for me...

New York banned MTBE several years ago, so I've been using ethanol blend for awhile. No ill effects that I can see. Mileage about the same as always. Sometimes I get close to 22 on a trip if there's no traffic and I keep it under 80 :rotf3:

If anything I may have a slight decrease, but my car has over 100K so it could just be cuz it's getting old.
