My grandfathers first pole... No idea who made it.. All I know its about 40 years old, and I took it out once... Its a cannon.. Got it hanging on my wall. 12' 1 piece reel - my grandfathers, then my fathers, now mine 20+ year old penn 704. jim sylvester 06-22-2006, 03:29 PM lami 1201m in my eyes there is no comparison for eels and 2+ oz plugs basswipe 06-22-2006, 03:29 PM Quarrow QS1002HR Green Country ML1 2pc 10' surf rod with a bailess 704. MAC 06-22-2006, 03:33 PM Depends on where I want to fish. If I could only have 1 fishing rod it would be my zziplex sea raiderII. Not the best at all applications, like throwing 7/8 bombers or 6 oz rubber duckies but it will do both adequately. for jigging ; 1209 all star plugging; Lami GSB 1322 chunking ;Lami 121 3M t.orlando 06-22-2006, 03:37 PM If I could use only 1, Arra 1205 ThrowingTimber 06-22-2006, 03:39 PM :bgi: All Star 1209, spinning and conventional :bgi: Krispy 06-22-2006, 03:43 PM Arra 1322, only thing its not exceptional at, is being 10' Sluggoslinger 06-22-2006, 03:43 PM 8' St. Croix with abu reel. RiPRaP 06-22-2006, 05:33 PM Loomis SUR965 shadow 06-22-2006, 05:39 PM lami 1201 m I love that rod great eel or pencil rod not to many graphite rods can do those well.plus a tuff blank to boot. libassboy 06-22-2006, 06:01 PM I change favorites sometimes but right now its a 1321M that i had to cut a foot and a half from the butt..dont ask.:tooth: This thing is unbelieveable, and the length is great..itll throw anything. tlapinski 06-22-2006, 06:45 PM One rod? Impossible for me. I think my problem is figuring out which one is my favorite on a given night fishing a certain way. Here is my list of rods I frequently use: 1201M - spinner and conventional - spinner is sweet for darters, conventional is great on eels 1081MH - SWEET slug-go rod as a spinner, just getting used to it as a conventional 1321M conventional - great needlefish, jigging, or eel rod Zziplex sea raider - still getting used to this one, but it is a very good all around conventional Tagger 06-22-2006, 06:46 PM I been using the lami triflex alot forget the # in van .. 10' 2pc. throws everything.. fights a fish well Stewie 06-22-2006, 07:02 PM Lami 1213M with an Abu 7000 or a Squidder Nebe 06-22-2006, 07:05 PM Lami 1213M with an Abu 7000 or a Squidder Elvis lurch 06-22-2006, 07:35 PM Arra 1322 JohnR 06-22-2006, 08:46 PM All Star 1088 Arra 1205 My sweet little Loomis 8 footer EricW 06-22-2006, 09:22 PM For both fresh and salt (light tackle) for me it is my Shimano Magnumlite GT Fightin rods from the 80's. Still use them today. They have the reel seat buit right into the blank and a real strong backbone. Bluefish and stripers on them are an absolute ball to catch. Like any other light tackle setup, it helps to have a reel with good drag. Mike P 06-22-2006, 11:07 PM Arra 1322, only thing its not exceptional at, is being 10' Take a hacksaw and do a one foot butt-ectomy  Redsoxticket 06-23-2006, 05:04 AM Lami 1201L Lami 1201M Allstar 1088 tynan19 06-23-2006, 07:15 AM Lami 1213m with Abu 7000 same as Longshot. Mike P 06-23-2006, 09:15 AM Its on my Lotto list. $280 is alotta dough to be hackin around on, without much precedence  What I think you'd wind up with is something between the old 1204 and the 1205. I think it'd be a winner, and IMO what Lami should have come out with as the new 1204. The Dad Fisherman 06-23-2006, 09:48 AM I just picked up a Batson 1088 from M&D's and it is seriously Sweet.
