So Muskeget Channel is the "Hooter"?, only because the charts don't call the channel the hooter and I always wonder why it is called the hooter anyway.

One of the cans marking the channel is the Hooter. Named for the whistling noise it makes at night or in the fog.

The hooter is a navigation buoy located approximately 5 miles dues south of Wasque point.

I believe it says right on the chart what the mark is.

and it's also outside the eez..... not that anyone bass fishes there.
