I am very pleased with this one. After much conversation and consultation with a wise surf sage ...and a few other sharpies ,we have developed the jointed TC Sandeel . It bears the initials of the one who prowls in the darkness of the dunes undetected ,who finally drew it on a napkin in a remote breakfast establishment on the far reaches of the Cape. It weighs 2.6 oz.and the metal length is just under 6 in. It is designed to be dragged in the sand making a "puff" of sand which a hungry striper will think is a sandeel trying to hide. It can be cast and retrieved through different levels of the water column as well ,and with a little rod twitching will have much flash and attraction. Here's an added bonus to this lure..it is a 3 in 1 lure! You can make it into a shorter 2 section lure or even a 1 section bullet to match different baitfish.
It will be available very soon at Point Jude Dealers. I am confident you will like this versatile new lure.

Joe, you've out done yourself...I can already see that thing dancing along the sand, bouncing off the bottom with a slight upward jerk of the rod...with a nice slow retrieve...

I spoke with the "senior angler" himself today. This morning ,on the beach , he caught a good number of " quality fish" :musc: using the Jointed Sandeel . He was with some friends, and a whole lot of other guys were there too, watching him catch. They were curious as to what he had on and there was a little show and tell in the parking lot later.
The trick to being successful with this lure ,according to Tony , is to "tend the bottom", this means keeping constant contact with the bottom as you retrieve the lure.

"Senior Angler", you'd never know it. He has more energy than I did 20 years ago! Great guy and a fountain, no firehose, of surf knowledge. It's a priviledge to have met and swapped ideas with him. We discussed the TC eel a while back and I'm thrilled that a quality manufacturer like Point Jude Lures has decided to produce them.:jump: When will they make it to P-town?

There's a box full of TC Sandeels and some Gold Buttah fish and other silver trinkets on the way to Nelson's as soon as the mailman comes back from the fireworks show.:soon: They will be there Thursday or Friday.

Nice job on making those ,,,I remember about 15 or so years ago, old man stetzko made some like that out of some longgated silver metal beads .U can also connect some small kastmasters together for the same effect.Change out the hair for a small white tube with a red tip on the end.
