Hiya,

Need a couple more sand spikes - anybody got one they don't use anymore?

I'm thinking like $5 unless you think otherwise... :uhoh:

I have some spikes but these are not $5 dollar ones these are custom made and are the best spikes money can buy.

You could go to Home Depot or any other hardware store and buy a PVC pipe. They would likely even cut it for you. For less than $10 you could have 3-4 spikes. They work well for me!

Been there and done that. You need a rubber hammer and then they will crack and break plus if you have any rocks or pebbles forget about it the plastic ones are for children. My spikes are aluminum and cut at a special angle so you can push them in by hand and they will work at rocky beaches likeSandy neck. They were special made for fishing Nauset and have taken many 40 plus fish and 1 581nch striper these do not pull out of the sand like the plastic ones do. These spikes will last many lifetimes.

To stick with the home depot cheapo theme, a piece of angle iron with a small length of pvc attached works like a champ. Leave a little of the angle iron above the pvc so you whack the iron not the pvc when setting the rod holder.

Good rodholders are a must have for the beach chair chunk fleet like myself .

good luck

Have you ever seen a rod dragged off the beach, when your sand spike falls over? I seen plenty.

Used to work 7 bait rods and when you have to keep them 10 feet from the waters edge as the tide changes thats a lot of pounding. Mine push in with the palm of your hand so easy.
