ok...i am new to the seacoast and i have a small boat that i run in the river....been out fishing about 4 or 5 times maybe a total of 20 something hours and all i have caught (actually my g/f's 12 yr old son...not me)...is a schoolie....i've been skunked...pretty sure i had some blues since after a small fight my leader was there but hook gone...basically just been drifting (since i lost 2 anchors on 2 drops) chunk mack or herring - i was using about a 2ft leader with slip sinker ...also jigged and trolled a tube a little....i've been under and aroung gsb bridge, the marina near by...drifted by some rips, and ledges...but nothing...still skunked...can anyone give me maybe a little helpful advice?? am i using the wrong methods/bait/techniques??? or maybe do i smell funny and should shower more ??? thnx......

Hey Guy,
Pascataqua is great. Fish the tides ( beginning or end ) Good spot is from PSNH plant drifting with outgoing tide along the NH shore. Lots of schoolies to play with and keepers come with them.

I haven't fished that river myself but grab some Queen Cocahoe jigs, Storm Lures, and start with some of those good lures...

ask your gf if you should shower more.... then keep fishing.
Rememeber that catching fish is just a bonus of being out on the water having fun. Sure getting skunked is a bumber but you are doing what much of the country has never done :)
