I was planning to rig up some sluggos single hooked with just leadhead jigs and pt jude wobbleheads. Do you need to insert weights in the tail and middle like with the tandem hooks or should the weight in the front suffice? I have some surf hogs I wanted to rig up as well.
for my eels, no weights and cut about 1/4 inch off of the nose so it fits snug agianst the head- zapagap will make them last alot longer too/.
if you want a shorter presentation, cut off the whole head and just use the belly/tail.
I agree , Pt.Jude Wobbleheads work absolutely marvelous with sluggo's
The action it gives to the rubber is unreal.I like to rig them both way, depending were I fish.Either in a tandem trailing hook or just by impaling on the wobblehead. No weights needed with those.Same thing with a plain leadhead.Just use one with a long hook shank

Thats what i use, tin squid, I have a ton of them. My Dad used them for rigging eels. I hooked one up on a sluggo and one of Eben's hogs. The action was awesome.
