Do you / have you fished these unweighted? If not where do you like the 3/32s to go and how many....these are the stinkelicious 9ers :hee:

I know its been said before but I`m old and stupid :hs:

On nebe's site it says to put them in the belly but i put them in the head as per his advice. One in the tail also like a sluggo.

you are highly experienced and always anxious to learn. :btu:

saying otherwise serves only to make it so.

depends... if its shallow, I mostly fish them unweighted- if you like a fast retrieve and want them sub surface, stick 2 sluggo weights or stainless nails in the head. If you want to use it like a zera spook, load up the belly and one in the tail.
if the water is really deep (over 20 ft deep) I use a PJ wobblehead.

but one of the reasons sluggos
have done so well [ i.m.h.o. ]
is there ability to suspend

so couldnt a surf hog eel
be adapted (air inserts)
so they can - do the same?

when i designed my eel, I made sure the chin had a slight upward angle- by having that feature, it helps the eel suspend perfectly on a medium retrieve- bring it in fast and it comes right up.. go slower and it will drop right down. Add some twitches and pauses in there and you got a weapon of bass destruction...

I did pretty well last night using the PJ wobblehead in fairly shallow water. No large but good numbers.Unfortunately some bloofish moved in so its down to the Edge for more 'Hogs.
