It looks like the crimping area of this tool is on the right side of the photo and not the left side as I initially thought, is that true.

Oh so you just modified the jaws to crimp and not cut. Good idea. How come I never have and good idea like that?

Because you have other ones like the metal needles and your pencil poppers or your bunker spoons! Oh yeah and your custom sandeel rake too!

If everyone had the smae idea where would we be?

Nebe I knew you were going to say Ocean State. Been looking at those $8 to $30 crimpers for years thinking I need a pair. Now I know I need a pair.

you can use an angle grinder and lightly dull the cutting edges and not alter the cutters that much- I use this thing every day now, so i needed to make it a bench top crimper, but if your only crimping a few bloofish leaders, then all you need is to dull the edges and use it as is.

I can attest to the working-ness (good grammer huh?) of this set-up... I performed the pull tests on the harnesses... I cant break them :musc: so they are plenty tough enough for the man in the green striped suit!
and much cheaper than a bench swage at 100's of clams...
